Suspected sockpuppets

This frustrated master sock has been baselessly reverting sensible edits in at least two articles, Amir Khan (singer) and Gharana as shown here: [1] and here [2]. Then he has used two random IP addresses in order to carry out the same style of abusive and biased editing, so he doesn’t breach WP:3RR. This is shown here: [3], here: [4]. On the second article here it is shown here: [5] and here: [6]. Unilexis ( talk) 10:28, 9 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Self-endorsed by clerk for checkuser attention, not only for this case but in conjunction with Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wolf Cola, which is also a credible report. The behavioural evidence looks straightforward. It appears that neither editor is here with clean hands, some clarity is needed. Cabayi ( talk) 11:12, 9 March 2019 (UTC) reply

CU declined (unless there is sufficient evidence demonstrating behavioral similarity with another named account).-- Bbb23 ( talk) 12:48, 9 March 2019 (UTC) reply
I was prepared to convince myself that this was a case of forgetting to login - which would be careless while pursuing an SPI against Wolf Cola, but the battle of reversion across the same battleground of Gharana, Playback singer, Ghazal, & Amir Khan (singer), with IPs in the same range is still continuing - mutual reversions involving IPs in the same range on Gharana this morning. New IPs are joining in, Special:Contributions/103.255.7.28, Special:Contributions/2620:0:E00:4034:0:0:0:68, Special:Contributions/103.255.6.90. There'd be too much collateral damage in an IP rangeblock. Amir Khan (singer) has already been semi-protected.
Pink clock Awaiting administrative action Gharana & Ghazal would also be well served by a period of semi-protection. Please block for Kishan for 2 weeks given his previous block for similar behaviour. Cabayi ( talk) 14:19, 10 March 2019 (UTC) reply
I blocked Kishfan for two weeks and semi-protected the article for one week. Closing.-- Bbb23 ( talk) 18:39, 10 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Reopened. Pink clock Awaiting administrative action Please void this block based on the evidence in the #14 March 2019 case. Cabayi ( talk) 15:08, 15 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Clerk note: The block on Kishfan was lifted. It is worth noting for future reference that Wolf Cola has used spurious SPI cases as an escalation of an ongoing edit dispute. Closing. Cabayi ( talk) 10:15, 17 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Suspicious editing by this blocked master sock in another article [7] with yet another similar IP. The admins should look into this and hopefully revaluate the block. Linked03 ( talk) 07:52, 14 March 2019 (UTC) reply

  • As the identity of the IPs in the 103.255/16 block appear to be a central issue here, please be aware that in the episode that led to Kishfan's first block back in August, on Talk:Ghost (Hamlet), they to all appearances edited while logged out from 103.255.7.48 in the middle of the conversation. It is by no means conclusive on its own, but they did not contest the identification when prompted at the time (see my two following replies in that thread). In combination with other evidence regarding that IP range (which I'm having trouble following, not least because it's spilling out over multiple talk pages and multiple SPIs) it may or may not help clarify the identity or identities of those involved here. At the time I took it for an inept attempt at socking (nothing obviously suggested it was a different editor jumping in, and several things fit with it being the same editor), but insufficiently serious to merit pursuing on its own account. -- Xover ( talk) 07:09, 16 March 2019 (UTC) reply

There's enough behavioural evidence to hand out blocks but whether they're Kishfan's or Wolf Cola's socks is unclear. The IP could be the sock of either. Linked03 is obviously a sock who was a sleeper & gamed ACPERM.

Self-endorsed by clerk for checkuser attention Could a CU please tie Linked03 ( talk + · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser( log· investigate · cuwiki) to Unilexis ( talk · contribs) (Wolf Cola's non-stale sock) or to Kishfan, and check for other sleepers. Thanks, Cabayi ( talk) 09:38, 14 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Tagged as socks of Wolf Cola - the block logs on their own are misleading. Cabayi ( talk) 13:33, 14 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Pink clock Awaiting administrative action The IP is clearly a sock of Wolf Cola. Please block for 3 days. Cabayi ( talk) 13:20, 14 March 2019 (UTC) reply

@ Cabayi: You can't tag Linked03 and Uniflo as confirmed to Wolf Cola. You can use suspected tags, proven tags, or complex tagging to indicate that the accounts are confirmed to each other and suspected/proven to Wolf Cola, but I never confirmed any account to Wolf Cola.-- Bbb23 ( talk) 13:44, 14 March 2019 (UTC) reply
Bbb23, Fixed. Thanks for the correction. Cabayi ( talk) 13:50, 14 March 2019 (UTC) reply
@ Cabayi: Sorry to be a pest, but the tags should be "suspected", not "expressed a concern".-- Bbb23 ( talk) 14:28, 14 March 2019 (UTC) reply
Tags corrected to "proven". Cabayi ( talk) 10:22, 17 March 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Pink clock Awaiting administrative action The IP is clearly a sock of Wolf Cola. Please block for 3 days. Given that Wolf Cola has shown themself clearly capable of fabricating a case based on IP edits the previous finding against Kishfan is no longer supportable, please revert that block. Cabayi ( talk) 15:06, 15 March 2019 (UTC) reply
  • @ Cabayi: This is beginning to make me dizzy. First, please explain how you now conclude that this IP belongs to Wolf Cola. Diffs as to behavior would be helpful. Second, the IP hasn't edited in four days, so a block is a waste of time. I've changed the status of this report to clerk.-- Bbb23 ( talk) 15:14, 15 March 2019 (UTC) reply
Explained & pinged at User talk:Kishfan. Cabayi ( talk) 15:17, 15 March 2019 (UTC) reply

Clerk note: There are other editors in the ISP's 103.255.(6|7).* range with an interest in the same subject matter. Wolf Cola has used spurious SPI cases against Kishfan as an escalation of an ongoing edit dispute. Closing. Cabayi ( talk) 10:22, 17 March 2019 (UTC) reply
