Delete as too soon. The article is silent about the qualification process. The only thing said about the tournament itself is the potential stadia to be used, which is too incidental to sustain a redirect. -- Tavix ( talk) 22:56, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply

Eritrea was recently deleted at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 June 27#Eritrea at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but rather than G4 it, I think it's better to also discuss the rest of the redirects in this set. I think this is a straightforward delete per WP:REDLINK to show there is not yet an article at 2024 Summer Olympics#Participation. If athletes are participating, then an article on the topic is notable and should be created. If athletes are not participating, they should be removed from that table so there wouldn't be a mention anyway. -- Tavix ( talk) 22:10, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply

Is this really a common nickname for the band? Even if so, is it really safe to assume someone searching for such a fairly generic phrase is looking for Depeche Mode? 2A00:23C6:880C:E101:F96E:195F:9EAE:53E1 ( talk) 19:42, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply

Dr. sixshot

Originally created as an extremely short article that said just "Dr. sixshot" and then quickly speedy deleted and recreated as a redirect to Sixshot, which was itself changed to a redirect to The Transformers (TV series), so the redirect target was changed to Transformers: Generation 1.

There has never been any actual content in the "Dr. sixshot" article. A redirect to Transformers: Generation 1 or The Transformers (TV series) would be misleading as the Transformers character is called Sixshot, no one has ever called him with a "Dr." prefix. The name even contains a capitalisation error: "sixshot" vs. "Sixshot". There apparently is a real-life dance musician called Dr. Sixshot but Wikipedia does not seem to have any content about him/her.

I propose this redirect should just be deleted. JIP | Talk 16:05, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply

  • Delete per nom. The name is incorrectly capitalized and no character by that exact name exists in the target article's franchise. Askarion 18:46, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Delete per the above. Sixshot should probably itself be deleted since there is no mention of this character at the target, and the former article was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sixshot (no merge appears to have taken place). A7V2 ( talk) 08:46, 25 July 2023 (UTC) reply
    • I would think a better idea would be to change the redirect target of Sixshot to Transformers: Generation 1. It would suffice to add a short description of the Sixshot toy to the appropriate section of the year it was introduced in. JIP | Talk 15:59, 25 July 2023 (UTC) reply
Well yes that would be best but as is often the case with redirects to articles without mention, no mention is ever added. A7V2 ( talk) 01:13, 29 July 2023 (UTC) reply

Proposing deletion — comments at Talk:Post-coital_tristesse#"Post-nut clarity" an opposite? suggest ‘post nut clarity’ is not the same as ‘post-coital tristesse’, and the term ‘post-nut clarity’ was recently removed from the destination article. A smart kitten ( talk) 13:49, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply

  • Delete Thanks for this. I do doubt whether we'll have an encyclopedic article on post-nut clarity any time soon. We have {{ R from antonym}} but that's a redirect category I'd want to be very careful with, since there should be some context or an obvious relationship between the redirect's term and the target. -- BDD ( talk) 13:25, 25 July 2023 (UTC) reply

Bit-part actress that was redirected to her father, where she is not mentioned. I could not restore and send to AfD because the last revision included a blacklisted external link. – LaundryPizza03 ( d ) 07:35, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply

Improbable redirect title. Appears to have been part of some page moves around Minerva Bunkering and not something intended as a permanent redirect. It's possible it was retained for attribution history but I don't see any edits at the target page that reference it for attribution. Dylnuge ( TalkEdits) 05:34, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply

The result of the discussion was keep. This is a search term that was in enough use to even appear in sources. Just because a redirect is from an incorrect name doesn't make it invalid – there is no policy-based reason that this should be deleted. Apparently refers to a specific product line by Plimp Airships, rather than a generic nickname for a Hybrid airship. The name is also used for various urban English terms as per Urban Dictionary. BilCat ( talk) 00:13, 23 July 2023 (UTC) reply
