Misleading (the target article on Wikipedia is not the official website of the Games), unused, implausible for search. –  Finnusertop ( talkcontribs) 13:36, 14 July 2017 (UTC) reply

You don't think someone might be searching for the official Torino 2006 olympic web site? Redirects don't just point to things that are itself, they also point to pages that might contain information on the search term. The most logical page on wikipedia that would contain information about the official website would be the the page on the 2006 Winter Olympics. - DJSasso ( talk) 15:50, 14 July 2017 (UTC) reply
True, but the article doesn't contain any information on the official website of the 2006 Winter Olympics, and conceivably never will, making the redirect useless now and in the future. –  Finnusertop ( talkcontribs) 16:07, 14 July 2017 (UTC) reply

A redirect from one particular company to the general article is an advertisement. DGG ( talk ) 04:18, 14 July 2017 (UTC) reply

You're right, this should be procedurally closed and article restored to go through AFD instead. Striking vote. AngusWOOF ( barksniff) 18:39, 15 July 2017 (UTC) reply
