This page was created as a new article, with numerous spelling errors, so I redirected the page to Balloon angioplasty, and while "ballon" is perhaps a valid mis-spelling, the all-capitalization makes this redirect unlikely, and unnecessary. Ariel ♥ Gold 12:23, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

- Keep. If you type 'Ballon angioplasty', this redirect takes you to Balloon angioplasty (well, it would if it weren't nominated for deletion). - Comment: The reason I nominated it wasn't that it was an invalid alternate spelling, but that the redirect is in all caps. It is unlikely someone will be typing in all caps, but I didn't realize that the search box seems to automatically convert lower case into all caps, (which does not make a lot of sense, since so many redirects are due to alternate capitalization, and searching with the wrong capitalization of most names results in no page found.) I understand the alternate spellings, I just think the lower case would be a better redirect, but the lower-case redirect does not exist: Ballon angioplasty. - The redirect Ballon angioplasty wouldn't do anything the redirect BALLON ANGIOPLASTY doesn't already do, so deleting BALLON ANGIOPLASTY and creating Ballon angioplasty would make zero sense.
- It makes no difference whether a redirect is in all caps, all lower case except the first letter, has all words starting with a capital letter or has some words starting with a capital letter and some with a lower-case letter. One of the many redirects to Shia LaBeouf is Shya Labuff. This redirect takes care of the spellings 'Shya Labuff', 'Shya LaBuff', 'SHYA LABUFF', 'shya labuff', 'Shya labuff', 'shya Labuff', 'SHya laBUFf', 'ShyA labuFF' and a whole host of others. If, instead of Shya Labuff, the redirect were SHYA LABUFF or Shya labuff, it would still take care of the exact same spellings.
- By the way, Balloon angioplasty is itself a redirect to Angioplasty, so I'm going to redirect BALLON ANGIOPLASTY to Angioplasty.
- Just goes to show, even after 2.5 years, I can still learn something new. That's what makes Wikipedia so awesome. It is quite odd that I get constant "no page exists" errors when searching if I don't use the exact capitalization, but I understand what you're saying. - To clarify, it does make a great deal of difference whether the page title is in all caps, mixed case or some other variation - just not for the search engine. Other functions in Wikipedia are case-sensitive. That's why you get those "no page exists" errors. Please remember that redirects do far more than merely support the search engine. - I fully realize that capitalization makes a great deal of difference, what Timeineurope is saying is that if someone types this in the search box, it doesn't matter if it is all caps or not. This page was created and was basically quite a poor quality article that was redundant, and I felt this was an unlikely search item being in all caps. I agree the current target is correct, but I didn't realize that the search box auto-finds when someone types in all caps (I guess because I've never done it lol).
