The result of the debate was speedy delete, G5. Rgulerdem had created the idea and theres about half-a-dozen threads on the mailing list by Rg about WP:OURS, Raphael is just acting through proxy. Will ( E@) T 19:51, 5 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Wikipedia:OURS

This policy proposed via the WikiEn-I mailing list was made by the permanently blocked highly disruptive editor User:Rgulerdem who not only previously was repetitively blocked on English Wikipedia but has also been repetitely blocked on the Turkish Wikipedia. This policy proposal has come into existence on Wikipedia via the proxy editing of User:Raphael1. Permanently blocked editors formulating policy is bad (even by proxy). • Keep. It's true, that Rgulerdem had the initial idea for this proposal, which later has been discussed on the WikiEn-I mailing list. Why should I be prohibitted to get my inspiration for a policy proposal from the WikiEn-I mailing list? Contrary to what Netscott states in his edit summary, my initial draft is not a verbatim copy of Rgulerdems initial draft. Raphael1 16:28, 5 June 2006 (UTC) reply
  • Delete, lest we set a precedent that will encourage other banned editors from trying to formulate policy. Netscott 16:33, 5 June 2006 (UTC) reply
  • Keep, although I have some major reservations about the ideas proposed here. If a banned user makes contributions, they can be reverted/deleted on sight, but they can also be restored without prejudice by a user in good standing if they aren't damaging/disruptive/vandalism. I'd say, if Raphael1 is willing to vouch for this policy proposal, then it should be kept and considered on its own merits. - A Man In Bl♟ck ( conspire | past ops) 17:18, 5 June 2006 (UTC) reply

  • Comment - this was sent here for deletion without even a starting comment on the talk page. This is not how we defeat policy proposals, is it? -- nae'blis (talk) 18:49, 5 June 2006 (UTC) reply
