Orphaned, Unencyclopedic

No internationally accepted sources cited for justification of the drawings. Neighbouring state of a name unknown to the Hellenic Republic which the picture addresses to. Not encyclopaedic.

keep (as creator of the original from which this copy is derived:
Image:Greece linguistic minorities.svg). The sources upon which this is based are documented at the description page of the original, which was the result of very extensive consensus-seeking and discussion (see
Talk:Minorities in Greece#New draft). Nomination is motivated purely by a POV gripe; the existence of the minorities displayed in the map is abundantly documented in the literature. The objection against the international naming of the
Republic of Macedonia is, of course, downright ridiculous as a deletion argument here.
Fut.Perf.☼ 14:19, 14 September 2008 (UTC)reply
keep trying to ethnically-clean the Greece map and trying to remove a name of a country that Greece doesn't like are not sufficient reasons for removing a map from Wikipedia. Maps are rather difficult to source, unless is proved that the map is wrong it should stay. --

delete This map has very dubious sources and was created according to the original user's POV. There's no reference in literature regarding the so-called minority languages in Greece and there's no officical recognition of the ethnicity/number of speakers that this map portrays. The map offers absolutely no encyclopedic value.
Walnutjk (
talk) 19:46, 15 September 2008 (UTC)reply
delete - seems like an OR as there are no source listed and it doesn't make any reference to the number of speakers - for an example at the spot which says Turkish - does that mean it is the majority language there or just some speakers?.--
Avala (
talk) 10:26, 17 September 2008 (UTC)reply
Dude, read above. The sources were all listed on the original image page, the guy who created this local copy forgot to copy them over. Now fixed. They are also listed on the
article where the image is used. As for speaker numbers, they are not within the scope of this map at all. The rest is a content discussion, please take that to the article talk page if you have a problem.
Fut.Perf.☼ 11:11, 17 September 2008 (UTC)reply
Image moved to Commons, where the original was all along. Now at

Improper licensing: certainly this blonde is not a unit of currency. Since it's being used to illustrate a biographical article, fixing the license to fair use won't help, as it is invalid to use this image.

Published after 1923, possibly NOT PD in US, and it is not a valid fair use claim because the art is not discussed in the page with sourced commentary.
