Auto Color more often than not makes the colors unrepresentative of real life. I've done it with pictures of my wife, and her somewhat olive skin gets turned much more pale than in reality. Manual tweaking would be best, assuming tweaking was necessary. —

True, it doesn't always work, especially with skintones. In the case of this landscape image, It removes the overly blue cast from the clouds and especially the snow, and warms up the mountains in the background, making the image look much more realistic in my view. -
