    Not at all! Sportspeople play sports. This category is more broad, as it includes coaches, managers, superfans, etc. It would be inappropriate to include non-players in the sportspeople category. pburka ( talk) 01:15, 1 February 2024 (UTC) reply
    It would probably be inappropriate also to associate non-players with Jewishness, when that's not related. I'm not aware that Judaism plays a significant role in sports refereeing. Place Clichy ( talk) 17:19, 1 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: I am concerned that most people in this category are not activists, just various notable people (artists, scientists, sportspeople, etc.) who are Russians that have criticized the invasion. Only a few are activists. I suggest this is renamed to generic people,with no prejudice to recreating activists as a subcategory (but it should be used only for activists). It is not right to classify (categorize) someone as an activists simply because they made a staement here or there about their political views.
