Note: the redirect that I made at
Category:31st-century BC rulers can be deleted after this. None will be needed at the nominated category names, because the new names will instead form part of the monarchs series. The temporary "cat=" parameter should be removed from navseasoncats in
Category:32nd-century BC monarchs. –

Rename Per updated nom. More specific and we're unlikely to ever have articles on non-monarchs. -

Nominator's rationale:Category:Dayak people probably suffices as I can't identify any other article which should be added to this category. Considering
WP:SMALLCAT, I don't believe that when an "[ethnic group]" category exists, there should automatically be an "[ethnic group] culture" subcat as a part of a large overall accepted sub-categorization scheme. If keeping, rename to Dayak culture. —

In general (not specifically in your case) C2E can be more contestable than C2D. C2D will nearly always remain uncontested especially when (as in the nomination above) it is follow-up on a recent RM.

Fair enough. It's mostly the 'Middle' part I object to as anachronistic; main article is
Ancient Near East, so it should be 'Ancient Near Eastern'. But that's a separate CfR.

This category contains 4 articles legislation forbidding the removal of Confederate statues and there is growth potential. After looking at dozens of articles about "statues" in this category tree, I kept misreading "statutes" in the category's name and I suspect that can happen to other readers. Most but not all of the subcategories of
Category:Statutory law by topic already use "legislation" and the proposed naming format. -
RevelationDirect (
talk) 00:37, 2 July 2023 (UTC)reply
Rename per nom. Yeah, when we're reading about monuments and memorials, "statutes" can easily be misread as "statues". (Unless someone made a statue about memorials and monuments, but that seems unlikely).

Comment BrownHairedGirl has a valid point. It's currently unclear what 'Palestinian' means at various points in this tree. Parent
Category:Palestinian organizations lumps a lot together: Organizationsof[[Palestinians|Palestinian people]] — and organizations for Palestinian people or about [[State of Palestine|Palestinian]] issues. It doesn't yet say the organisations need to be based in Palestine, buuuuut... given the parents
Category:Ethnic organizations and
Category:Palestine (region), and that about Palestinian issues is linked to
State of Palestine, geography also seems to matter somehow. This makes it an
WP:ARBITRARYCATWP:CROSSCAT between ethnicity ("ethnic organizations"), topic ("about Palestinian issues"), geography ("Palestine (region)", "State of Palestine"), and nationality ("Palestinian people"). Let's clear up the parent first before we start merging its child into its grandchild.

Weak oppose, it is not clear whether the organizations in this category are based in the State of Palestine. The articles need to become more explicit about it before we can do this merge.
