Nominator's rationale: unless 'residential area' is something specific to India. There are a few google hits under 'Residential Neighbourhoods' related to India.
Fuddle (
talk) 22:44, 15 July 2020 (UTC)reply
Support Area is used synonymously with neighbourhood in India and there is no clear cut classification for residential either. Hence its better to stick to a single category. --

Tom Radulovich (

Rename per nom. Besides the two subcategories should be nominated for merger, since we usually do not have separate flora and fauna categories for relatively small ecoregions.
Marcocapelle (
talk) 21:14, 15 July 2020 (UTC)reply
Rename per nom. I'm not convinced that the disambig is necessary even with the articles in the comment. The state park and the mice are clearly named for the ecoregion, and if necessary categories involving those could be disambiguated. The stadium article is a stub and there's no indication that it has more prominent visibility compared with the ecoregion. bibliomaniac15 00:02, 5 August 2020 (UTC)reply

User:Namiba 18:17, 15 July 2020 (UTC)reply
Disagree, see the related entry
comment for Millcreek. Also, when did buildings on the
National Register of Historic Places become "not notable"? (It seems like a push to discourage adding articles for these categories. Some of the applicable articles already exist, but have not been properly categorized yet.)

There are now the seemingly requisite 5 pages in the category, contrary to WP:SMALLCAT, which is about potential; per WP:SMALLCAT, there's plenty of potential, with over 500 chashi known, including a number of other notable examples designated as Historic Sites at a national level. The category is a useful navigation tool, also across other language wikipedias. Also it should be noted that Ainu chashi are rather different in form and function from the castles of the Wajin, so the one category of castles does not suffice. My preference is creation rather than metadeletionchat, but anyway,

@
Maculosae tegmine lyncis, a category is a useful navigation tool only if it is part of an established series (e.g. the subcats of
Category:Years in Japan), or if it contains a decent set of articles. There may be many more similar items known to exist; but if en.wp doesn't contains articles on them, the category serves no purpose, because it cannot be populated with articles which don't exist. --

Rename to

Comment, the nomination is correct as far as legal terminology is concerned. But in common language we may distinguish failed attempts versus succesful attempts. In other words, if renamed, some day an editor may move
Category:Assassinations to become a subcategory of
Category:Assassination attempts. It is not a reason to oppose, just a possibility to be aware of.
