Nominator's rationale: Looks like creator was unaware of Category:Tropical cyclone impact by region ?? Le Deluge ( talk) 23:53, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Reverse merge — looks like the creator didn't know about CfR. The articles are all "Effects of" and the subcategories are "Effects of". So let's match them.
William Allen Simpson ( talk) 00:39, 28 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Merge or reverse merge, clearly overlapping scope. Note that the top category is styled Category:Consequences of events and we have both Impact and Effects categories in that tree. Marcocapelle ( talk) 06:53, 28 December 2020 (UTC) reply

The result of the discussion was: rename. Good Ol’factory (talk) 07:21, 15 January 2021 (UTC) reply
Nominator's rationale: I don't have any strong views on what this should be called, it's intended as a daughter of Category:British ecclesiastical architects but we don't have a category for the Liturgical Movement, the closest we have is Category:Liturgists. Obviously we never abbreviate "UK" in categories, so it could be "British architects of the Liturgical Movement" but beyond that I'm open to views? But we don't need the "British" or "UK" in there at all given that there's no "global" parent category. Le Deluge ( talk) 23:43, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply

The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 04:23, 4 January 2021 (UTC) reply
Nominator's rationale: Trivial intersection. No notable WP:DEFINING link between the occupation and the manner of death. There may have been many years between the occupation and the suicide, making the link even weaker.
Note: Sources about the death of a person will often discuss both their occupation and their cause of death. This doesn't make this intersection any more notable than a combination with other aspects often discussed in such notices, such as their number of children. See previous:

Comment: what is the qualitative difference between "Sportspeople", "Sports competitors", and "Competitors in athletics"?
William Allen Simpson ( talk) 23:15, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply
@ William Allen Simpson: Sportspeople are people involved in sport (including referees etc.). Sports competitors are those who compete in sport. Competitors in athletics are those who compete in the sport of athletics. SFB 01:38, 29 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Delete The intersection is not defining and they are already in other athlete and suicide cats. - RevelationDirect ( talk) 23:23, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Most of them should be deleted, but at least for american football players and wrestlers, there should be further consideration, as these two sports have a correlation with higher suicide risk.-- JTCEPB ( talk) 03:18, 28 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Delete per nom. Marcocapelle ( talk) 07:00, 28 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Delete per nom. If there is (or was) a great interest in any of these, then there would be an article about them, even if that was just, eg List of wrestlers who have committed suicide, otherwise the intersection seems non-defining. Nigej ( talk) 11:48, 28 December 2020 (UTC) reply
    • It is not good practice to take lack of an existing article as proof there is no interest. This is a conservative interpretation of how Wikipedia is built. Often important and useful articles have not been written yet simply because people haven't thought of it yet, or haven't had the time. For example, for years and years Wikipedia had no article on the 100 metres at the Olympics, yet we all understand that is a notable topic and it now gets hundreds of views a day. • Listify This is perfectly useful material for a list, thus listify is the superior option for this than delete. There are not too many entries here so List of sportspeople who committed suicide seems like a valid target list to create as a result of this. Suicides of sportspeople is a noted phenomenon and these is much literature on the subject, both lay and scientific ( example). To say the intersection of sport and suicide is trivial is to say that you have not done basic research to ascertain if there is a link. SFB 01:38, 29 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • If you are volunteering to create a list, just go for it. Marcocapelle ( talk) 09:26, 29 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Keep I don't see this as trivial, and the sources cover it. Dimadick ( talk) 12:21, 29 December 2020 (UTC) reply

The result of the discussion was: split. Good Ol’factory (talk) 07:12, 15 January 2021 (UTC) reply
Nominator's rationale: in contrast to the four sibling categories nominated above, this category mostly concerns Catholic churches converted to Lutheranism, or Protestantism in general, for which we already have appropriate categories. But there also are a few entirely new Protestant churches (for which we already have a category as well), e.g. Haberberg Church. These are very different situations and it does not make sense to lump them together in one category. Marcocapelle ( talk) 12:40, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Oppose -- I do not think this works. The congregation will not have changed (save its denomination) at the reformation. We have churches built in (say) 1330; reformed in (say) 1525; rebuilt in (say) 1710. Save in cases where the Catholic church was monastic (which adds more issues), the church community worshipping in the church will have had a continuous existence since 1330, though only protestant since 1525, and in a building built in 1710. Where a new church was established for the first time - many churches in America and dissenting churches in England, the community and the building are of much the same date. However in some cases history is rather more complicated. Peterkingiron ( talk) 18:23, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Exactly because of all these issues, the nomination says "split" instead of "merge". Marcocapelle ( talk) 07:04, 28 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Support — well done! This will mark the change in denomination, very notable. We already have "yyyy constructed" categories for buildings, that handle every "rebuilt" objection. When I was visiting distant relatives in Scotland, it was a matter of pride that they'd actually taken down a church building, numbered stone by stone, and rebuilt it in a row with other churches. It was also a matter of pride that they are all buried together in a cemetary near Macduff's tower from Shakespeare. Fought centuries of religious wars to arrive at a state of grace. Let's not perpetuate that here.

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING ( WP:OCAWARD & WP:OVERLAPCAT)
Over a nine million of these awards were given out according to the main article, Order of the Patriotic War. The award was a Soviet medal for World War II (aka "the Patriotic War") that eventually became a campaign medal for every participant. Usually I suggest listifying non-notable awards, but this is too large and the contents would largely overlap with Category:Soviet military personnel of World War II anyway. - RevelationDirect ( talk) 00:02, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING ( WP:OVERLAPCAT and WP:OCAWARD)
We normally don't categorize military people by individual battles because the combatants are already in a military category but Category:Warsaw Uprising insurgents is a worthwhile exception since most of the local combatants in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising were not in a formal military and their participation was clearly defining. What is not defining is also getting the Warsaw Uprising Cross as a campaign medal decades later for that same participation. There wasn't a list so I created one right here in the main article for any reader interested in the topic. - RevelationDirect ( talk) 00:02, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Merge, another obvious case of WP:OCAWARD. Marcocapelle ( talk) 05:27, 27 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Keep separate - This is an award specific to Poland for those in a specific historical event. In Poland, this is defining and not all combatants have received this award. (It also complements existing, matching categories for recipients of this award in the Korean, Polish, Russian, Taraškievica, and Ukrainian-language Wikis). Scanlan ( talk) 01:26, 29 December 2020 (UTC) reply
The stated purpose of the award was for all those who "took an active part" which is a campaign medal and, in practice, it appears to have been broadly issued amongst the small subset of combatants who lived into the 1980s and 1990s, with some posthumous exceptions. - RevelationDirect ( talk) 11:12, 29 December 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Merge per nom. There is nothing about the award that makes it more restrictive than all participants still alive, which is not enough for us to want to categorize seperately on. John Pack Lambert ( talk) 19:11, 14 January 2021 (UTC) reply
