Given the sectarian nature of religion, it is unlikely that the same architect would be asked to design (for example) a Baptist church, so that the changes of overlap between different denominational subcategories is probably not great. Nominator's rationale: Keep and repopulate. Was listed for a speedy delete as empty. The contents here were apparently moved to Category:Art Deco architecture in Connecticut a rename that was refused in Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2010_June_21#Art_Deco_architecture this discussion from June. This is not the only category affected. Category:Art Deco architecture in the United States by state is one tree where you can see the change happening.   • Delete - as with the wives of the Beatles or the husbands of Elizabeth Taylor, the children of Elijah Muhammad constitute a small category with no likelihood of expansion. In fact after reviewing a couple of the articles I feel if these were taken to AFD the category would shrink. That they come from different mothers is not relevant. Nominator's rationale: Parent article Sherman Halsey was deleted for failing WP:ANYBIO. This is akin to a precedent at Category talk:Albums by producer#New guidelines (further established at this CFD and this CFD, among others) that albums should not be categorized by producer if the producer doesn't have an article. I would think the same would apply for music video directors — if the director doesn't have an article, then the videos shouldn't be categorized by director. The number of videos directed is immaterial; Richard Landis produced at least 20 albums that I can think of, and his category was deleted. Nominator's rationale: Delete. Apparently a CAH, is a hospital classified by medicare to receive extra payments to keep it from closing. Not sure if this is defining enough for a category. A list would probably be better. I'll note that a quick search shows that in 2009, there were over 1,300 hospitals with this designation. Propose renaming Category:Cities in Romania to Category:Municipiu in Romania
Nominator's rationale: Rename as proposed or to whatever the correct plural version is. Cities apparently don't exist in Rominia and this would match the name of the main article. When we did the top level rename, we said that at the country level we should be using the terminology that actually exists in the various countries. After reading the article, it would appear that the correct parent for this may be Category:Towns in Romania. But the article is not totally clear since it also calls these places cities.     • The plural is "municipii", but that's not an English word; English would be "municipalities". However, a looser but still accurate translation is "cities". Indeed the category was at Category:Municipalities of Romania until April, when it was moved to "cities" following this discussion. If you want it moved back to "municipalities", OK, though I don't really see the need, so long as we explain on the category page that "cities" refers to municipii. - Biruitorul Talk 23:38, 17 August 2010 (UTC) reply

I think that the previous discussion (which only had one contribution apart from the nom was applying his own OR as to what a muncipality consists of.     • I would not object to this option. I was just following the name of the main article so my thinking was to retain the local name. If we want to go with the generally accepted English alternative that would be a reasonable option. Just as long as we do away with the inaccurate cites in the name. Category:Light sockets ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
Nominator's rationale: Delete. Redundant. A light socket is the part of a light fixture that accepts a lamp (i.e. light bulb), and sometimes contains the light switch. It is not a category of things (unless we were going to write about specific makes/models of light sockets, but don't you think that that would be unnotable? :-), but rather something that only needs mention in it's own article. This category was created by User:Radiojon, who added the following articles to this category, often removing the old categories in the process (however, he created a couple of these articles, which are marked with a *):
Light socket was the "main" article, but is the only article with anything relevant to a 'light socket'. All the other articles deal more with bulb/lamp bases (i.e. the connector on the bulb itself) than light sockets. It almost appears that User:Radiojon believes that 'light socket' is synonymous with 'bulb/lamp base'. All of these articles were formerly part of this category, but I removed the category from those articles, and (except on Automotive lamp types) replaced it with Category:Lighting, Category:Electrical connectors, and Category:Mechanical standards (except on Light socket). (remember that I did all this before coming here and reading that I'm not supposed to remove these articles from the category yet! :-) All three replacement categories were the original categories for Edison screw, but they seemed to be fitting replacements. It turns out that even Light socket dealt mostly with bulb bases originally! (untill I (partially) fixed that by adding relevant info). So with this category being redundant, I am suggesting that it be deleted. (Sorry it this seems to be a mouthful, but I'm just trying to explain my reasons fully. ;-).
