This is another spot copied into GNIS from a forest service map. GMaps shows the unmistakable fencing of a livestock loading chute, and if you go back far enough in the topos, you see a single building at that point, so the safe bet is that it used to be a ranch. What I also found is that there is a " Wood Trap Trail", which is likely how the name got on the Forest Service map. In any case all legitimate references in searching beside the trail itself relate to it being used to refer to a "Wood Trap area" in reporting on wildfires and their control. This seems to be a vague locale, as no map I've seen delineates such a area. Mangoe ( talk) 03:46, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
