keep - There is a long list of citations that are independent of the author herself. she has been interviewed by Trevor Noah, she has done a TED talk, she has a significant position in the American Sociological Association, has been interviewed by NPR, and The New York Times, The Harvard Review, Mother Jones, Inside Higher Ed.

Keep - Looks like she meets
WP:NPROF criteria #7 - the references provided demonstrate that she is "frequently quoted in conventional media as an academic expert in a particular area."
