Keep. A preliminary search suggests he meets the notability criteria for a musician, especially points 2 and 3 in the 'Other' category. Just briefly I found multiple, non-self-published, independent sources describing him as 'celebrated' and his work as 'seminal' and of 'critical acclaim'.
