This does not seem to fall into any criteria for notability. College board of trustee members are not inherently notable, nor are chiefs of staff to generals, no matter how famous the general. BD2412 T 23:57, 10 July 2021 (UTC) reply

  • Delete — Per rationale by BD2412. I too fail to see which notability threshold is met. Celestina007 ( talk) 00:12, 11 July 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Delete Lieutenant General is quite a senior rank, but searching Google and Google books doesn't return any particularly useful sources, with coverage being largely limited to military publications. This appears to be a good example of why the Military History Wikiproject recently decided to drop the assumption that generals are automatically notable as part of retiring WP:SOLDIER - many generals do not have a public profile. • Shifting to keep per Mztourist's good work here. I still don't think that this general was particularly notable, but the obits get him across the WP:BIO threshold. Nick-D ( talk) 11:00, 11 July 2021 (UTC) reply
  • Keep per WP:HEY now meets WP:BASIC. Mztourist ( talk) 05:16, 11 July 2021 (UTC) reply
    • The improvement appears to be substantial. There is a discrepency between the still-unsourced claim of his founding of the Korean Military Academy in 1954, and the linked article's description of that entity having been founded in 1946. I'll have a deeper look at the rest of the article tomorrow. BD2412 T 05:42, 11 July 2021 (UTC) reply
      • Yes I haven't found anything to support that, but have left it in for now in case something can be found. Mztourist ( talk) 05:59, 11 July 2021 (UTC) reply
