Devonian Wombat: Rhenish separatism in the post 1919 period is covered in the
Rhenish Republic article. This article seems to be solely based on James Minahan's "Encyclopedia of the stateless nations" (which can be viewed on Google books) so I am not yet convinced that this article meets GNG, apart from material which could be included in the Rhenish Republic article.

Delete and merge with
Rhenish Republic, per above comment. Minahan's encylopedia is not a reliable source.

@
ImTheIP:. please could you explain why Minahan's encylopedia is not a reliable source to help editors reach a conclusion here (and copy to the Swabian nationalism discussion).

Thanks @
ImTheIP:. @
TizStriz:, it is useful to explain the background because not all AfD participants will be familiar with it.

Delete. Minahan seems to be the only person calling Adenauer a "Rhenish nationalist". The German terms "rheinischer Nationalismus" or "rheinländischer Nationalismus" give 1/0 and 0/0 results on Google Books and Google Scholar, respectively. While Rhineland separatism (often based in anti-Prussian and anti-Protestant sentiment in the deeply catholic areas) existed, the notion of Rhinelanders as a nation is a bit absurd. Given that Minahan claims
Wiesbaden (which was always in Nassau or Hesse, even while Prussian) to be a cultural centre of the Rhineland gives me little reason to believe anything in this book. —Kusma (

Delete as Minahan is not a reliable source as explained by
ImTheIP.

Delete since this doesn't seem to actually be a thing. Due to lacking coverage as a concept outside of an unreliable source. --
