  • Delete. As always, people do not get Wikipedia articles just for running as candidates in elections they did not win — the notability test at WP:NPOL is holding a notable political office, not just running for one. To be notable enough for inclusion here, he would have to show either (a) that he had preexisting notability for other reasons that would already have gotten him into Wikipedia regardless of whether he won or lost the election, or (b) that his candidacy could be credibly claimed as much, much more significant than most other people's candidacies, by virtue of having received much, much more coverate than most other candidates got.
