- Delete meets neither GNG nor our inclusion guidelines for baksetball players. to justify keeping the article he would in most cases have to meet both those guidelines.

- @ Johnpacklambert: No, in all cases he would just have to pass GNG. Passing GNG and failing a sport-specific notability guideline is not and has never been grounds for deletion of an article. On the other hand, failing GNG but passing a sport-specific notability guideline is grounds for deletion of an article. All this is made very clear in WP:NSPORTS.
