Another entry that GNIS unwarily copied from "Welcome to Calaveras County and Western Alpine County", it is actually the
Mountain Retreat Resort, which I suppose could be considered a "community" to the extent that it has people who own condos there, some of whom probably live there year-'round. But officially recognized? Not that I can see.

Redirect to
Arnold, California. A redirect is slightly preferred so as to possible prevent creation of a new article. Mountain Retreat is not notable: newspapers.com was no help - lots of classified ads, Google Books had nothing as well. I'd be fine with a delete.
