The result was keep. Withdrawn - the Echo source and the obit from the Independent are sufficient SIGCOV that on balance I agree there is likely to be more. ♠ PMC♠ (talk) 22:37, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

In trying to substantiate the article's claim that he was born in Watford, I discovered that I could find absolutely no significant coverage about him. I checked all the usual Google suspects, as well as WMF Library Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, and Newspapers.com and found nothing but trivial mentions, even when adding specific terms like "EastEnders". ♠ PMC♠ (talk) 09:37, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

- Keep. Well-known character actor with appearances in many notable films and TV shows. Clearly notable. Sometimes common sense has to prevail. -- Necrothesp ( talk) 15:28, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
- Keep, I think as a British actor it is more likely there will be coverage on the British Newspaper Archive than newspapers.com, although I was able to find a newspapers.com accessible article from the Liverpool Echo from 1979 here, which seems fairly WP:SIGCOV. There were numerous hits on BNA but I can't see the articles unless the same papers have been scanned to newspapers.com too. I think given he had a fair amount of acting credits, and many as main roles (not just odd episodes) then we can determine he was notable. Bungle ( talk • contribs) 17:53, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
