No
WP:RS for this Mehdi Hasan to verify her self-promotional biography per
WP:V. Many things written are per
WP:OR. No notable award, he has done nothing special. Fails
WP:GNG and
WP:JOURNALIST. Greenbörg(talk) 09:05, 11 July 2017 (UTC)reply
Delete this autobio. not much in RS on him so he fails WP:GNG. --

Hold on. First, hold on with "autobio" alegations per
WP:BLP – the man is 80-years old and there's no proof whatsoever that he created this article. Being "chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan," and four-times chairperson of
Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists surely makes him done "something special". The article is sadly unsourced, and there is a language barreer, but
this documentary excerpt confirms that Dr Mehdi Hassan is a renowned political analyst in Pakistan and his work in the field of human rights spreads over more than forty years. He is author of several books on democracy, rights and media and teaches at the University of Punjab in Lahore. He has been interviewed as an expert in Pakistani politics[1] and was invited to speak on press freedom at US consulate
[1] as well as on other public issues
[2]. The article contents are easily verified from his
University of Lahore Faculty CV... and there is a catch: our article is a copyvio of it.
WP:TNT, sadly.

Since this bio was created by a SPA
[3]. i thought it could be an autobio. since he is a journalist, i was looking for him in Pakistani newspapers but didn't find anything of significant, except few articles which namechecking him. if we need to compile his bio , we will need some published RS. --

Well, then please search harder. The faculty CV is a good starting point, and I don't see a reason to distrust it, and my findings of video interviews, speeches and talk shows (check
[4]) suggest that he's a rather big academic name and public speaker. However, 1) most of his career spans 1970s and 1980s, so sources could be offline 2) his name is ambiguous with another famous singer and a famous journalist, 3) there is possibly a significant body of material in Urdu. But even what I collected as a total outsider pretty much paints the picture of a renowned scholar and political analyst. Few additional searches:
Books (mostly by him),
HRCP.
