There's a basic
OR problem with this article because "large" and "ancient" can mean different things to different people. The current list includes ships from the 3rd century BC to the 15th century. Moreover, most of the content is already in
List of longest wooden ships as it's pretty clear that any reasonable definition of "ancient" excludes boats using more modern materials. Finally, two of the four boats on the list have dimensions that are the subject of much speculation.

Delete per nom. Indiscriminate list criteria.

Merge and redirect. The criteria could be made clearer, but it would still largely duplicate
List of longest wooden ships. If anything is missing, merge, then redirect per
WP:ATD.

Keep and rename per Andrew.

Keep The word "large" in the title is redundant because
ships are inherently large. Otherwise, the scope of the list seems fine. It passes
WP:LISTN because there are substantial sources available such as Ancient ships. And we have an equivalent category
ancient ships and so, per
WP:CLN, a list is ok too.

That leaves just three list entries, hardly worth keeping unless it can be merged with another list of ships. Also can someone please give us a definition for ancient? Are we talking 100 years, 1000 years, B.C.???

KEEP As others have stated just rename it to
List of ancient ships. Add things from the existing category to make it complete.

Delete - I'm confused about this article, and I was shocked to see that it only has three ship entries. Others are right that the two criteria are subjective and not helpful in forming a list. I don't really get why this would be an article right now. If someone is really interested, they should ask that this be sent to their sandbox so they can beef it up with more entries before making a page out of it.
