Delete DGG has saved many a bad article, and if DGG sees no hope for this one, it really is hopeless. Seriously, though, it's not a good idea for an article. To the new editor, please don't let this discouraging you from contributing. Quotes are a wonderful thing to place within an article about the person who made them, and sometimes in an article about the subject of the quote, but a page of famous quotes would quickly accumulate to the point that no single quote would stand out.
