The result was speedy keep. Withdrawn as nominator. I have editing concerns about this recently-created page, but it clearly contains at least the basis for a valid WP:SAL. (non-admin closure) power~enwiki ( π, ν) 20:40, 8 November 2017 (UTC) reply

List of exercises of the Indian Air Force

WP:NOT violation. This is not a valid WP:SAL list as none of the individual exercises appear to have their own pages/notability. power~enwiki ( π, ν) 02:10, 2 November 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Keep Exercise Red Flag is one of the exercises mentioned, is one of the famous air force exercises in the world and sees participation from multiple air-forces. Other exercises for example, Indradanush, has multiple mentions in different newspapers, articles and books ( [1], [2], [3], [4]). Another exercise Garuda also has enough sources ( [5], [6], [7]). A third exercise Indra between India and Russia ( [8], [9], [10]). Also, official sources are preferred over newspaper articles since they tend to contain more detail like which aircraft took part but there exists sufficient press and book coverage to pass WP:GNG. Lastly, the page was created a day ago and is still being expanded and over time a page for each of these exercises will also be created. Adamgerber80 ( talk) 02:29, 2 November 2017 (UTC) reply
    • If these are all large multi-national events, why is the list specific to the Indian Air Force? Why is listing the specific Indian planes included in each individual event encyclopedic in nature? power~enwiki ( π, ν) 03:05, 2 November 2017 (UTC) reply
      • It only mention Indian planes because the list is from the perspective of the Indian Air Force. The participating country has also been mentioned. Is your issue here that this is based around the Indian Air Force or the issue that the events are notable? Adamgerber80 ( talk) 03:12, 2 November 2017 (UTC) reply
        • A List of multi-national air force exercises would clearly meet WP:SAL. I don't see how the detailed information on the Indian airforce meets WP:NOTINDISCRIMINATE, but others may disagree. power~enwiki ( π, ν) 03:19, 2 November 2017 (UTC) reply
          • I am not opposed to that idea. But that page is going to too extensive. This is on the same lines as Lists of Bollywood films and List of Tollywood films vs having a List of Indian Films where you try to keep it concise. If this is the real issue than we should be discussing this on the talk page of the article about a move not on the article deletion page. In your nomination for deletion you asserted that exercises were not notable (based on the fact that pages for them did not exist) which is untrue. Also, the exercises for which pages do not exist can be easily searched on google passing WP:GNG. Are you now changing the reason? Adamgerber80 ( talk) 03:31, 2 November 2017 (UTC) reply
