The result was Merge into single article. There is clear consensus that only a single list of characters is appropriate. Which title that should exist under ought to be determined via talk page discussion, as there is no consensus here. To the unfamiliar observer, this title appears to be the logical one to keep; however, it may be there is nuance here I am missing. Vanamonde ( Talk) 02:39, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

Surplus to requirements now series has ended, per consensus at Talk:List of regular Neighbours characters#Moving the article. Content has already been merged to List of regular Neighbours characters in its entirety, and project links altered accordingly (and stablisised in their new form). - Merge List of regular Neighbours characters and Recurring characters of Neighbours into this one. It's rather ridcolous we ended up with three articles on pretty much the same topic. Note that unreferenced content can be just deleted (per WP:V), so size should not be much of an issue. -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:24, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- Delete or Merge into Finale (Neighbours) There are four articles that are relevant to this discussion. (1) List of regular Neighbours characters, (2) Recurring characters of Neighbours, (3) Finale (Neighbours), (4) List of Neighbours characters. The fourth article List of Neighbours characters had a reason to exist when Neighbours was still on air, as it had information about "current", "upcoming" and "departing" characters. However, now that Neighbours is no longer on air, the article has only two sections: (1) "Regular characters" who appeared in the finale and (2) "Recurring and guest characters" who appeared in the finale. However most of this information can be found (or could/should be found) in the Finale (Neighbours) article. Therefore all that needs to happen now is to ensure that the Finale (Neighbours) contains the entire list. Chrisclear ( talk) 10:20, 5 August 2022 (UTC)

- Comment What you are proposing seems (to me) to be something that is a separate discussion to whether this article ( List of Neighbours characters) should be deleted or not. Your proposal could be handled by a discussion on the relevant talk page(s) after this Wikipedia:Articles for deletion discussion is closed. Chrisclear ( talk) 07:55, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- Keep if everything is already merged, somewhere, then this should be a simple talk-page redirect discussion, in which case this would be kept under the redirect for attribution purposes. If an identical article/list exists and that presence is the basis for deletion of this article/list, then that should be a CSD-G6. In either case, an AfD discussion is clearly not appropriate.
