I'm aware this was nominated in 2011 but was withdrawn because a Billboard award he won but I'm not sure if this can entirely save the article. My searches at News, Books, browser (only passing mentions), Newspaper Archive, highbeam and thefreelibrary found nothing to suggest there are good sources to improve this. - Comment: This is on the line. If American commercial radio deserves to be covered, then its major movements are important. They're also somewhat fleeting and hard to document in what would otherwise seem like "reliable" sources. Biography for the person who invented the "wave" format? Uh. Yeesh. - Although the award might make him a valid article topic if the resulting article could be properly sourced, the reality is that no claim of notability ever entitles a person to keep a minimally sourced article on Wikipedia just because they exist — the quality of sources that can be provided to verify a claim of notability are what satisfies the notability criterion, not the claim itself. It's also worth noting that the article was first created by User:Kncortes, so there's a conflict of interest here — this is clearly an WP:AUTOBIO, with a sizable amount of content which is completely unverifiable. The only source we've got here is his inclusion in a directory listing, and that's not enough to satisfy WP:GNG — and the award in question is not major enough (we don't even have an article about it) that the need to have articles about all of its winners would override their sourceability or lack thereof.
