Apparent lack of sufficient notability to satisfy WP:NACADEMIC Geogene ( talk) 23:19, 6 March 2015 (UTC) reply

And I realize he wrote an important book about Wikipedia, but I agree with the editor that created the page (as a redirect to the book) in 2011 that the subject isn't notable. I realize that we tend to have biases here that may make the subject appear more notable to us than, say, an assistant professor in the humanities, and think policy should apply equally. • Merge or redirect to the book again per WP:BIO1E. Re Geogene's comment about biases: my experience with AfD discussions is that we are usually more critical, not less, when the subject is Wikipedia-related, but nevertheless I don't see any source of notability beyond the one book in this case. — David Eppstein ( talk) 01:14, 7 March 2015 (UTC) reply
  • Neutral: I don't feel strongly as to whether there's a page or not. I do use it for a class exercise so students can check the credibility/verifiability of some of the claims but in that case I'll just make a copy in my user space. For what it's worth, I have another book coming out soon. Also, I wanted to ping User:Anthonyhcole who removed an AfD tag in the past. - Reagle ( talk) 17:59, 7 March 2015 (UTC) reply
