Crew member who perished on the RMS Titanic. Is not a notable crew member from the perspective of historical interest.

Delete per
WP:ONEEVENT and
WP:NOTMEMORIAL. I would venture to say that anyone on Titanic who didn't get significant things written about them before or after the sinking is probably not notable. -

Delete. Most sources I found on this guy are either directory listings on all RMS Titanic victims, or discuss him because his name resembles that of the fictional protagonist of
the 1997 film. Of those directory listings, most only give basic biographical information such as date/place of birth, his occupation aboard the Titanic, and some details about his death in the ship's sinking. Wikipedia is not a
memorial or a
directory. —KuyaBriBriTalk 19:27, 17 April 2012 (UTC)reply
Delete: One of the many victims. Non-notable.

Comment I once heard that James Cameron based Jack Dawson on a then-unknown J Dawson on the passenger manifest. If this is correct, there may be a potential merge to
Titanic (1997 film).

Except that this J Dawson was crew, not a passenger. •••
