Non-notable artist. The sources that can be found point to a man who was known and respected in his community, but not beyond. WikiDan61 ChatMe! ReadMe!! 12:38, 29 June 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Delete – Sorry, but as the nominator pointed out; “…. a man who was known and respected in his community, but not beyond”. Looked and could only find one significant reference source [1] which as it turns out to be just a long obituary. ShoesssS Talk 15:10, 29 June 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Keep There is at least one other source. [2]-- MainlyTwelve ( talk) 03:06, 30 June 2017 (UTC) reply
    • Comment Yes, there is that source. I'm on the fence about that. First, it's an encyclopedia of art and history of Arkansas; one might reasonably expect to find listed there any Arkansas artist. Second, the present article is such a close paraphrase of that source as to border on copyright violation. WikiDan61 ChatMe! ReadMe!! 12:25, 30 June 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Keep per WP:PROF#C5 (the distinguished professor title). And the local-news obituaries [4] [5] don't really contribute to notability themselves, but they mean we have sufficient sourced content for an article. — David Eppstein ( talk) 07:24, 13 July 2017 (UTC) reply
