Fails WP:NBASKETBALL. Sportsfan 1234 ( talk) 22:03, 15 April 2018 (UTC) reply

Comment - I am not familiar with the notability guidelines for basketball players, but this coach/player has a few references and was the first Kuwaiti to be awarded a basketball scholarship to play college basketball in the US. At least he is interesting. Best Regards, Barbara    22:22, 15 April 2018 (UTC) reply

  • Strong delete references are a dime a dozen, and none of the ones on Buressli show notability. Basketball scholarships in the US are also a dime a dozen. Only very exceptional college basketball players are notable, and Buressli clearly does not fit into that category. John Pack Lambert ( talk) 04:38, 19 April 2018 (UTC) reply
  • Keep based on WP:GNG and the expectation that given the claimed awards there willbe many arabic-language sources. Anah Mikhayhu Leonard ( talk) 23:57, 22 April 2018 (UTC) reply

  • Keep, As coach of the national team, there are many English-language sources, which probably satisfy gng. But there are undoubtedly many more Arabic sources. This is one of a batch of around two dozen articles nominated by the same individual and part of a pattern of WP:BIAS, nominating numerous articles of non-American individuals, often with not even the most rudimentary regard for WP:BEFORE, most of which have already been closed as keep. A waste of all of our time. A sampling of these recently closed AfDs includes Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Appoorva Muralinath, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Shiba Maggon, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Akanksha Singh, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Anitha Pauldurai, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Stanley Ocitti, there are several more. One of the nominated (and kept) articles, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ram Kumar (basketball) is one of the all-time greats of Indian basketball. There has been one AfD in this batch that I found to have been deleted, and a few that have not been decided. Jacona ( talk) 21:22, 23 April 2018 (UTC) reply
  • Delete Fails WP:GNG with lack of significant coverage in independent, reliable sources. Don't mistake Google hits of trivial mentions for significant coverage. Fails WP:NBASKETBALL. No new sources have been added to the article, or presented by participants here. No prejudice against recreation if non-English coverage identified later. As it is, the most coverage I found is from some blog hosted on blogspot.com, with no indication that it is reliable. Per the guideline WP:WHYN, significant coverage is needed "so that we can actually write a whole article, rather than half a paragraph or a definition of that topic." This is not encyclopedic enough to WP:IAR.— Bagumba ( talk) 09:12, 25 April 2018 (UTC) reply
  • Keep There appear to be many Arabic-language sources as well as English ones. Enough to get it over the WP:GNG hump. Smartyllama ( talk) 20:09, 27 April 2018 (UTC) reply
