This article has been almost entirely unsourced since 2013. The only sections with any sources are those on Robert Michels and Adolf Hitler. I had a look at the cited sources, but none of them refer to any kind of unified "anti-democratic thought". Hyland 1995 discusses the "logical limits of democracy", Blamires 2006 references Michels' "critique of democracy", Fest 1973 mentions Hitler dismissing internal party democracy. Connection between these two figures, or between them and the other figures mentioned in the article, aren't clear at all. Much less is there a clear "anti-democratic thought" that binds them together.

As the scope of this article appears to be entirely synthetic, I'm proposing this article for deletion, or to at least be redirected to Criticism of democracy. Relevant sections of this article could be merged into those on Michels and Hitler. Grnrchst ( talk) 15:30, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply

  • Delete Appears to be WP:SYNTHy and largely unsourced. Doesn't really contribute anything that criticism of democracy doesn't already. — Czello ( music) 15:35, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Weak keep without prejudice to TNT or BLAR. Searching on Google Scholar, there's several results for the term ( [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]) that focus on the sociology and history of anti-democratic movements, rather than their specific criticisms of democracy; I think this is a distinct, notable topic which could be covered here, or perhaps even better at Anti-democratic movements or Anti-democracy. That having been said, as-written the article is a poorly-sourced CFORK of Criticism of democracy and could justifiably be redirected there. signed, Rosguill talk 15:38, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • TNT, per User:Rosguill. -- TheLonelyPather ( talk) 15:45, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • TNT this is going to need a complete rewrite; good job finding sources as above, but starting from zero here is what's needed. Oaktree b ( talk) 16:42, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Delete - I'm willing to be persuaded that this could be a notable topic, per Rosguill; however, anyone writing such an article would be hindered not helped by the present content, so I think WP:TNT applies here. Most of the sections are unsourced, and none of the sources in the article support combining these thinkers in this way, so it violates WP:OR/ WP:SYNTH. I'd be fine with a redirect to criticism of democracy. WJ94 ( talk) 16:45, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Delete per Oaktree. No prejudice against recreation but creating a coherent article on this topic will not be easy. Mccapra ( talk) 21:21, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Keep it could be rewritten if users do not think the article is adequate in its current version Gooduserdude ( talk) 21:38, 3 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Delete and redirect to Criticism of democracy, an article with its own problems. There is nothing to salvage in the current version of the article under discussion, which is something between an essay and a list of "not democracy" examples with no central coherence. For the idea of opposition to democracy, there should be a section on this in the main article ( Democracy#Criticism would be better scoped as "Opposition" than "Criticism"), and for the time being there exists a dedicated article on the topic that would be a fine redirect target. I see no content to merge, so best to procede with the "TNT" deletion followed by a redirect for the title as a search term. czar 11:02, 4 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Delete, basically following Rosguill and Czar. A redirect sounds like a good idea but TNT it first. -- asilvering ( talk) 13:14, 4 August 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Redirect to criticism of democracy. The content is not usable in its current format, but I don't see any pressing need to hide the history. Eluchil404 ( talk) 14:09, 10 August 2023 (UTC) reply
