The result was delete. I would be happy to userfy the page to anyone that wishes to hold on to it until circumstances changes and it meets notability guidelines. J04n( talk page) 16:06, 25 October 2017 (UTC) reply

Young footballer who has never played in a fully-professional league or won a senior international cap and therefore fails WP:NFOOTY. Article can be restored as soon as either criteria is met. Number 5 7 21:17, 18 October 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Keep - article has a fair amount of coverage from a wide range of newspapers and websites from around the globe, not just France. Definitely passes WP:GNG. Similar to page for Jadon Sancho, and world renowned talent who was top performer in two consecutive UEFA tournaments. -- Ortizesp ( talk) 21:40, 18 October 2017 (UTC) The article Amine Gouiri has over 3000 views in the last few days, [1] has profiles in 3 other international wikis, [2] and international recognition [3] which should help it pass WP:SIGCOV.-- Ortizesp ( talk) 00:47, 20 October 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Weak Delete - classic case of WP:TOOSOON, subject of article hasn't made his debut soon so fils WP:NFOOTY. I would really like to say this article passes WP:GNG and vote keep but unfortunately it doesn't. Most if not all of the sources provided are either primary or routine coverage. Would gladly change my !vote if subject makes his professional debut or if more sources can be found. Inter&anthro ( talk) 01:17, 19 October 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Keep The player passes WP:NFOOTBALL as he is in a tier 1 league and a significant media coverage exists. Shellwood ( talk) 20:29, 19 October 2017 (UTC) reply
    • @ Shellwood: He doesn't pass WP:NFOOTBALL as he has never made an appearance in said league as required by the guideline. Number 5 7 20:31, 19 October 2017 (UTC) reply
      • @ Number 57: I don't think he was saying he made an appearance, but that he is a talent of a tier 1 league with significant coverage is enough to pass WP:GNG. Pages like Vinícius Júnior, Jadon Sancho, and Mile Svilar were made before they made professional debuts, and I think Gouiri falls in that camp. Otherwise, Sancho's page should come into deleting consideration.-- Ortizesp ( talk) 00:47, 20 October 2017 (UTC) reply
        • If they were saying the player passed WP:NFOOTBALL then they must mean that the player has either won a senior international cap or playing in a fully-professional league, because that's what that guideline requires. Given he referenced a tier 1 league, I assume they were referring to the latter. Number 5 7 07:35, 20 October 2017 (UTC) reply
        • Sancho made his debut yesterday, so that ship has sailed. Club Oranje T 00:56, 22 October 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Comment While the player obviously doesn't fulfill the requirements set out by WP:NFOOTY, if coverage is such that the individual passes WP:GNG, then that should be the over-riding factor. Also note that WP:ANYBIO regards a person as notable if "the person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in their specific field". The player was top scorer at the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, but whether this is enough to satisfy this criterion is unclear (to me). Nzd (talk) 21:03, 19 October 2017 (UTC) reply
    • It's been well established that playing for a country at youth level does not confer notability, so I don't think it would be deemed "a widely recognized contribution". Number 5 7 21:39, 19 October 2017 (UTC) reply
      • I'm inclined to agree. While certainly part of the enduring historical record, it's probably fair to say that the tournament isn't "widely recognised". Unless, of course, enough coverage can be found to satisfy GNG. Nzd (talk) 23:01, 19 October 2017 (UTC) reply
      • Being one of the better talents in two consecutive youth tournaments has made other players notable, and I think there is enough media recognition to pass WP:GNG.-- Ortizesp ( talk) 00:47, 20 October 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete - Fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL JMHamo ( talk) 22:07, 21 October 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete per nom. Fails NFOOTBALL, youth football does not confer notability. WP:TOOSOON. Coverage, despite some saying it meets GNG, is nothing more than what I consider WP:ROUTINE for up and coming footballers that's some excitable people think might become the next <insert superstar name here> but invariably doesn't . Unfortunately we need to keep having these discussions per WP:CRYSTAL to avoid accumulating lots of articles on non-notable nearly-men, even though this kid is more likely than most to make the grade eventually. Recreate if and when but delete for now. Club Oranje T 01:13, 22 October 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete - fails WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL. Giant Snowman 12:30, 22 October 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete - Fails NFOOTY as has not played or managed senior international football nor played or managed in a fully professional league. No indication that subject has garnered significant reliable coverage for any other achievements to satisfy GNG. Fenix down ( talk) 19:54, 22 October 2017 (UTC) reply
