Albert Mampre was a World War II member of Easy Company (aka the Band of Brothers); however, he was not mentioned in the history by Steven Ambrose or featured in the resulting TV series. Mampre does not qualify under the criteria in WP:SOLDIER. Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 20:44, 13 February 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Keep - I see plenty of attention in news articles (also called "Al Mampre"); veterans of Easy Company became celebrities, those that were still alive after Saving Private Ryan in 1998 and Band of Brothers (the book in 1993, the miniseries in 2001) even more so. Satisfies GNG. Smmurphy( Talk) 12:24, 14 February 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete. NCO with no gallantry decorations. Clear fail of WP:SOLDIER. Not every member of Easy Company is notable. -- Necrothesp ( talk) 14:03, 15 February 2017 (UTC) reply
  • Delete Being a member of a unit that was the subject of a book or TV show does not confer notability. -- Lineagegeek ( talk) 01:06, 17 February 2017 (UTC) reply
Comment: Presumably this would also apply to most/all of the "Other Easy Company veterans" included in the template at the bottom of this article? DerbyCountyinNZ ( Talk Contribs) 05:27, 17 February 2017 (UTC) reply

Comment: Under WP:SOLDIER, all; in practical terms, deleting some (such as Richard Winters) would probably be a hard sell.-- Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 15:48, 17 February 2017 (UTC) reply
