Keep. I am very confused by this nomination. Generally, having a biography in a national encyclopedia like
Banglapedia: the National Encyclopedia of Bangladesh is understood to be a pass of
WP:ANYBIO. A national encyclopedia is generally more selective than a national biographical dictionary. --

Normally I would agree with you but in this case that is the only real source of information about this person. Other than being noted briefly in two history books and the national encyclopedia there isn't much else I could find. I was hopeful that Banglapedia would have more information or sources but it doesn't include any. I'm not opposed to withdrawing the nomination if there's consensus that you can establish notability with just an article in a national encyclopedia. The reason I wanted some more references was to sort of filter out what counts in these encyclopedias, I figure if you have an article in one AND one more solid reference then you should be good. If not then there could be over a thousand articles crafted briefly talking about someone only because they were in another encyclopedia. Dr vulpes(

I mean, yes? I think we could create articles on any topic that has a entry in an important national encyclopedia or national dictionary of biography. In fact, in the past we have imported wholesale the texts of various respected encyclopedias that were out of copyright. We probably wouldn't do exactly that today, but I think all of the topics found in those articles are probably still covered, although sometimes merged or otherwise obscured.

Keep. He is mentioned in historian
Muhammad Mojlum Khan's book which covers an ethnically-diverse select list of influential people in Bengal's history. There are citations in the chapter dedicated to him which I can also add to the article. There's also a lot more information that can be found about him online. This article could just do with more references and you could add a template for that, rather than request it to be deleted.

@
Jaunpurzada you could also just add the references you say you have and I can close this AfD as a speedy keep. Dr vulpes(
