Vittoria Ceretti (born 7 June 1998) is an Italian supermodel. [5] Ceretti was discovered in 2012 through the Elite Model Look Model contest. [6] Models.com ranks Ceretti as one of the "New Supers". [7] Known for her versatility and her striking features Ceretti has managed to become one of the most praised and well-known supermodels of this generation. [8] As of 2024, Ceretti has walked 400 fashion shows and has graced the cover of international Vogue 23 times. [9] [10]

Early life

Ceretti was born in Brescia, Italy in 1998, daughter of Giuseppe Ceretti, owner of a flooring company, and Francesca (née Lazzari), a housewife. [11] [12] [13] [14] When she was 14 years old, she entered the Elite Model Look competition in Italy, where she was chosen as a finalist. [12] [13] [14]

Early beginnings 2012–2017

Ceretti began her modelling career at the age of 14 and earned a place among the finalist of Elite Model Look Italia. Ceretti made her runway debut in the Italian city of Milan, for the designer Kristina Ti. [12]

In 2014 Ceretti was chosen by Dolce&Gabbana as the face of Autumn/ Winter and Beauty Campaigns in 2015 and 2016. [15] In 2015 Ceretti was chosen as the face of Giorgio Armani's Autumn/Winter Campaign and in September 2015 made her debut on Top 50 models by models.com. [16]

In the same year Ceretti was chosen as the face of Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer 2017 Campaign and was together with Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid in the Fendi Spring/Summer 2017 campaign. [17]

In July 2016, Ceretti appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia created by Stevel Meisel and shot the Prada campaign with Steven Meisel. [18] Ceretti was also part of the Givenchy Campaign. In 2017 she was the Model of the Year for Reader's Choice on models.com.

In 2017 Ceretti appeared on Vogue Japan on February, on Vogue USA in March and in May the French Vogue.

Rise to prominence 2018–present

After her breakthrough Ceretti became a muse in the industry. Dolce&Gabbana wanted her for their beauty line, Karl Lagerfeld adored her for her versality and chose her for Fendi and Chanel shows. [19]

Ceretti is known for being versatile, changing her look by going from femme fatale to princess, from tomboy to sophistucated lady, from bride in glitter and red lipstick to a dark woman with black beathers applied around her eyes. [19]

In 2018 she landed the British Vogue and obtained the big 4. [20] In 2018 she also was part of the Tiffany& Co campaign, the Proenza Schouler "Arizona Fragrance" Campaign and many others.

One of Ceretti's most notable achievements was being chosen was one of the faces of Chanel's Coco Neige campaign in 2018. Ceretti also walked for Métiers d'Art show in 2019. [8]

Since the year Ceretti was born and during the last eighteen years, only 2 Italians were honoured with the cover of one of the world's most influental fashion publications: actress Isabella Rossellini and supermodel Mariacarla Boscono. [21]

As of 2023 Ceretti was the protagonist of the Chanel Beauty Holiday Campaign. [22]

Ceretti has appeared on the cover of Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, Vogue Germany, Vogue Spain, British Vogue, Vogue Korea, Vogue China, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, Grazia, IO Donna and more. [13] [14] [23] Ceretti was one of seven models on the cover of Vogue's March 2017 issue, which celebrated the magazine's 125th anniversary. [24] [25] According to Vogue Italia, Vittoria Ceretti was the most searched model of 2018, on their website. [26]

In 2024, she becomes the new face of the Pucci woman. [27]

Personal life

In an interview for Vogue Paris, Ceretti mentioned that she would have studied either acting or psychology if she hadn't begun a career as a model. [28]

She married Matteo Milleri, an Italian DJ, on 1 June 2020 in Ibiza, Spain [29] and they divorced in June 2023. [30]

As of 2023 she is currently dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio. [6]
