Transform fault zone off the coast of southern Chile
The Valdivia Fracture Zone (VFZ) is a
transform fault zone off the coast of
southern Chile which runs between the continental slope near
Valdivia in Chile and the
Panov Seamount crossing the
Chile Ridge.
