Glitch in Wikipedia

Take a look at the last four Natalee Holloway diffs. Factoring in the nature of 70.x.x.x's edits and the fact that I made use of the rollback tool leads me to believe there is a slight glitch in what is reported in the history log. What do you see? Hall Monitor 17:04, 1 September 2005 (UTC) reply

Yes, exactly that. It turns out this was a human error on my part. Hall Monitor 17:59, 1 September 2005 (UTC) reply

Phishing

Congrats on reaching featured status, it was definately worthy - I don't normally vote on articles I've helped out with. If you have some free time, could you read through Fauna of Australia, which I'm almost ready to put on FAC, and let me know if there's anything that is unclear. Thanks. -- nixie 06:12, 2 September 2005 (UTC) reply

Nice catch, thanks.-- nixie 13:27, 2 September 2005 (UTC) reply

FF6 characters section

I still don't have a feel for what User:A Link to the Past feels is missing from the character section as currently stands, and because of that I'm extremely uncomfortable with expanding the section further. As I've said on the FAC discussion page, I don't feel that "make it longer" is a constructive comment, as the same goal can be achieved by pasting the word "fnarf" a couple dozen times and tagging it onto the end of each character's writeup. I'm more than willing, even eager, to work with him to resolve his complaints, but I'm going to be a hardass about getting at least a vague idea of how to expand before plunging willy-nilly into it, as I firmly believe that it is that sort of unplanned rambling that leads to serious fancruft problems. – Seancdaug 02:00, September 3, 2005 (UTC)

Brain Teasers/Trivia:

Hi, I'm just posting a friendly notice stating that I have got Brain Teasers/Trivia on my user page that you're welcome to have a go at. Will post new questions one day after they have been answered. Thanks... Spawn Man 09:37, 11 October 2005 (UTC) reply

Congratulations, you are currently tied 3rd on the Hardest Questions In The World Section's score board with 1 correct answer. You are 2 points away from the score board's leader. Spawn Man 07:08, 12 October 2005 (UTC) reply

ALU

Sure, I'd be glad to rework ALU... Unfortunately it will be a little bit before I can even finish CPU. There are at least two or three more major sections I need to write, some pictures I want to find, etc, and I'm pretty busy with school and work as an aside. -- uberpenguin 19:08, 13 October 2005 (UTC) reply

Phishing on the Mainpage

Just thought I'd let you know that the picture for the request can't be a thumb; it has to be a 100px picture that can be easily identified as the subject of the article in those 100px. Usually, Raul654 tends to choose his own picture anyway, unless the picture he likes is the same as was requested. I'm not sure his method for deciding what articles get picked out of the request page, but I can tell you that most articles stay on there for up to a month, and some have the luck of being picked up right away. These are just some things I've noticed ever sine I started placing the "mainpage date to come" templates on chosen article talkpages. You can try leaving him a message on the progress of your request to see why he didn't choose it when he filled up the rest of October and beginning of November on Monday, maybe there's something that needs to be resolved before it can go on the frontpage. Either way, I'm positive that you're article is going to be chosen during his next round, probably in another week and a half. PRueda29 15:05, 20 October 2005 (UTC) reply

I wonder if you would consider supporting Emergency department at Wikipedia:Article Improvement Drive. This department is where we all go if we are very ill, and I feel it needs a boost if it is ever to get featured article status. I would greatly appreciate if you were able to offer support on this.-- File Éireann 19:52, 30 October 2005 (UTC) reply

Regarding your talk page note: We can't use fair use images in templates, so images only used by templates get marked. I see the image is now directly used in the article, so I guess it's a closed case. Sorry for the concern it caused you. -- Gmaxwell 03:02, 9 November 2005 (UTC) reply

Image Tagging Image:Albhed.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Albhed.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. -- Steve block talk 21:00, 23 November 2005 (UTC) reply

Phishing

I assumed Image:Phishing chart.png, which you uploaded, would be fine. It's not an illustration of the topic, but then you can't take a picture of phishing (except in the sense of screenshots of phishing attempts, which are inherently copyrighted and fair use-only). What more illustrative photo are you waiting for? Tuf-Kat 03:01, 26 November 2005 (UTC) reply

Changes on the AID

In both of my non-consecutive terms as AID admin, I have enforced a policy of leaving out the 'diff' thing because it just doesn't matter to me for as much time as it took to do (I know, I did do it for a while). - Litefantastic 00:10, 27 November 2005 (UTC) reply

WikiProject Macintosh

I have started a WikiProject to help improve all Apple Macintosh related articles to featured article standard at Wikipedia:WikiProject Macintosh. We need all the help we can get, there are currently 2 members on the project including myself. I hope you join, thanks!— Wackymacs 15:47, 4 December 2005 (UTC) reply

Well I use the Mac, Linux and Windows. You don't have to own a Mac or know anything about them to be on the project, because part of the project is about improving biographies and company articles (not just software/hardware) relating to the Mac in one way or another. A lot of this project involves researching to improve articles, so I'm not actually expecting many, if any, of the participants to know anything about the topics they may improve. — Wackymacs 16:15, 4 December 2005 (UTC) reply

Another user has created a stub for Greco-Roman wrestling and, noticing that Freestyle had a link in the main artical ( Amateur wrestling) that re-directed back to it, I created a stub for freestyle. I noticed your name on the Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by martial art, and was hoping you could assist me to expand these stubs as I have insufficiant knowlage to do so myself.
