Hi Zarcadia. I'm pretty sure people know where Maryland is. Well anyone here reading articles anyways. Slight Smile 23:28, 18 November 2016 (UTC) reply

@ Slightsmile Maybe in the U.S. but outside probably/possibly not! Remember English-language Wikipedia is read by people in Britain, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa. States like California and Texas are universally known but Maryland is not. Zarcadia ( talk) 01:19, 19 November 2016 (UTC) reply
I've always assumed people in Europe as well as Australia, NZ and most places pretty much know the American states and probably the provinces in Canada. Am I mistaken about that? Slight Smile 01:31, 19 November 2016 (UTC) reply
Probably the 'famous' ones like California, New York (even that will cause confusion with NYC...), Alaska and Texas, may be known or recognizable to the non-US layman reader but the majority of the 50 states are not, I have an interest in geography and I could easily name more states than the average American high school student (I can name all 50) but I spend a lot of my time at work (working for a multinational) answering questions like "is Louisiana a city?" or "What state is Arizona in?" (I am the 'go to guy' for geography). Zarcadia ( talk) 02:02, 19 November 2016 (UTC) reply
I'm surprised. I remember my father telling me there was a time people thought Japan was the capital of China but that was long ago. I knew a woman who never heard of WWII but she was from a less developed part of the world. Anyways it's good to meet you. Slight Smile 02:22, 19 November 2016 (UTC) reply

The article Separate the Magnets has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The provided references don't demonstrate the notability of this album.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. power~enwiki ( π, ν) 00:17, 26 February 2018 (UTC) reply
