american war talk

ようこそ, you said "The US is not America - butdoes this really qualify as a colonial war?" in a late edit summary, the us is not ALL america but this was a colonial conflit the us being then a colony trying to get freedom from the brits. the background of this was a colonial conflit between european empires, so yes this is a colonial campaign of france. for some reasons the french colonial campaign box only include 2nd french colonial empire. the american campaign was part of the 1st french colonial empire. バイバイ. I understand your point of view, but for the French I don't really know whenever this would qualify as a colonial war (not least since the war also was fought in Europe). It also depends on how you would define a colonial war, which I tend to imagine as a conflict between the native inhabitants of a country and a colonial power. WWII was also fought in French colonies, but we don't call it a colonial war. Anyway, to promote neutrality I think we ought to avoing using "America" when we only refer to a part of the continent(s). The template would truly be a mess if it said "Africa" rather than Tchad, Sudan, Morocco etc. Yonaka ( talk) 15:05, 8 January 2010 (UTC) reply

Don't complain to me, just stop the damned Israeli bias! What's not in Israel, is not in Israel. Yonaka ( talk) 21:35, 21 March 2010 (UTC) reply
Please follow Wikipedia rules for dispute resolution. Engaging in straight edit-warring is likely to get both of you blocked. Best, Ray Talk 21:37, 21 March 2010 (UTC) reply
