Can we talk about the Western culture? It seems like your judgement about "Western culture" and "Philippine culture" is very limited. And I understand, no one is fairly knowledgable about the Philippines outside of it. But I've been living here for decades now. The problem here is you keep debating about things you do not even understand. You confuse race with culture, and keep arguing that western culture is about skin color, when it is not. Culture is culture no matter the color of the skin. And this is not about political correctness, this is me actually studying anthropology for years now.
The Philippines was founded By Miguel Lopez de Legazpi under the Spanish principle. The first Filipinos who call themselves "Filipinos" are Philippine born Spaniards practicing exactly the same traditional culture as what the dominant lowland christianized natives of the Philippines practiced at that time i.e clothing, music, arts, architecture, drama. Which are all based on Western tradition i.e Classical, Renaissance, Baroque, Gothic, Romanesque etc. Records shows that there is no racial divisions when their culture is united, Filipinos(Philippine born spaniards), Tagalogs(of Manila), Visayans, Ilocanos, Bicolanos etc. Their version of western culture albeit going through local lenses, but western culture never the less.
To put things into perspective, Turkish people of today, practice Turkic culture (that originated near China) and hencefort Turkic, even though the majority is white or native of asia minor.
When Egypt was Hellenized by the Greeks, the Egyptian population is still dominant, But that doesn't change Egypt at that time from being HELLENISTIC. Ptolomaic Egypt practice Greek culture and hencefort, Hellenistic in culture. Just like Filipinos practiced western culture and hencefort western culture. The entire population of both US and Australia are not entirely white. Keroscene777 ( talk) 12:21, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
East meets west is basically just Western tradition mixing through to the local lenses. It's clear you know nothing about Philippine culture. Plurality is not a Filipino trait. It is a mostly Christian society, there's no temple besides churches. There's only Churches, Cathedral, Bassilica in every single cities, with the exception of the small autonomous population of the south. When The Germanic tribes adapted Roman culture it also meets their local lenses and mixing into a newer albeit still Romanized culture. Keroscene777 ( talk) 12:27, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
