September 2022

Hello, I'm Blaze Wolf. I noticed that you made a change to an article, TheOdd1sOut, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ― Blaze Wolf TalkBlaze Wolf#6545 16:28, 16 September 2022 (UTC) reply

Disambiguation link notification for September 21

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited University of Murcia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page San Javier. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot ( talk) 09:04, 21 September 2022 (UTC) reply

Dark Hollow request

Hi. I started researching yesterday to flesh out that draft article. I think there's quite a bit of potential for it. I've gone through 10 sources so far. I'll probably exhaust the sources available to me before actually editing the draft. –  Reidgreg ( talk) 01:15, 4 October 2022 (UTC) reply

@ReidgregThanks. I will be sure to award the Barnstars. Wikiwow*_* Wikiwow*_* ( talk) 14:08, 4 October 2022 (UTC) reply

I'm posting a major expansion to the article now, and will work on cleaning it up immediately. –  Reidgreg ( talk) 19:17, 8 October 2022 (UTC) reply
Okay, I've finished with what I have. I think it's probably ready for the Mainspace, after deciding on a title disambiguator (there are other Dark Hollow articles). Probably Dark Hollow (2000 novel). Oh, I had some notes somewhere...
  • The plot summary should briefly summarize the entire plot, including the ending. It shouldn't be a teaser or the kind of lead-in they print on the back cover or the inside dust jacket to get you interested. It should summarize the plot so that the rest of the article is understandable. I haven't read the novel, or at least not recently, so pieced together what I could from various reviews. Be careful not to make this section too long or detailed; roughly balance it with the size of the other sections.
  • The character section should not rehash plot elements. It should serve to give necessary information to make the rest of the article understandable as well as notable real-world character information as provided by reliable sources. For example, the protagonist having the same name as a famous musician, and saying a little bit about his background from the first novel of the series. Minor characters (those not mentioned elsewhere in the article) do not need to be included.
  • The other sections have a lot more real-world information. I think the only big note is to be careful with anything sourced to The Irish Times because Connelly used to work there so neutrality may be in question. I think it's okay where I used it, but I kept it out of the critical response.
Okay, hope that's cool. Ping me if you have any questions. – Reidgreg ( talk) 23:34, 8 October 2022 (UTC) reply
Actually, it looks like the disambiguator for multiple books with the same title per WP:BOOKDAB is "Title (author novel)". So this would eventually land at Dark Hollow (Connolly novel), and Dark Hollow (novel) would move to Dark Hollow (Keene novel). Cheers! - UtherSRG (talk) 18:28, 4 November 2022 (UTC) reply
BTW, some of the sources used have some information on Connelly's early career which could be used in his biography article. –  Reidgreg ( talk) 23:38, 8 October 2022 (UTC) reply

A kitten for you!

Thanks for your kind words!

Rollback granted

Hi Wikiwow1102. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Always check the history and make sure you're not restoring a bad revision.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! -- zzuuzz (talk) 16:45, 26 October 2022 (UTC) reply

Great!

Would it be redundant to thank you for thanking me for thanking you? Keep up the reverting and editing, it's very appreciated. ButterCashier ( talk) 15:03, 30 October 2022 (UTC) reply

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

Hi Wikiwow1102! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over six months.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in six months.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{ Frs user|Wikiwow1102|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you!
