Hello TobytheTramEngine, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image ( Image:Toby.jpg) was found at the following location: User:TobytheTramEngine. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Well done with your vigilance on this article. Anti-vandal work is a thankless task, but necessary. Fortunately, most editors making 'questionable' edits (such as the one you keep having to remove) have less stamina than us who care for the quality of the articles. Keep removing the text and they will eventually give up -- and if they don't, consider placing appropriate warning messages on their talk page (see WP:UTM). Having warned them, you are quite justified in requesting an admin to block them from editing.

Anyway, the main reason for writing was to ask if you can fix the lead paragraph for On Site with Thomas. I know nothing about it, but the lead is very confusing, saying what it was not called, and giving two alternative names, apparently for the same thing. If On Site with Thomas is not appropriate as a page title, then we should move the article. I'm quite happy to help polish the text, but I cannot work on articles where the existing text makes no sense! If you cannot help, don't worry, but we will need to raise the matter on the WP:THOMAS talk page sooner rather than later.

A while back, you asked: Why can't I go on these specials: Special:Blockip, Special:Undelete and Special:Unblock? Is it because I am NOT an administrator or is it because I don't have permission from an administrator? It's because you were not an administrator. Only administrators can access Special:Blockip (to block IP addresses) or Special:Undelete (to undelete pages). You are right, only an admin can protect a page, I didn't realize that. I went back and removed all the templates and messages. I was just in to much of a hurry to protect the pages, so I didn't read the protect info as close as I should have.

I was surprised to see your RFA was 'quiet', but even more surprised that you had started one. The reason it is quiet might be because you have not yet answered the required questions, but as it is not in the 'current RFAs' nor 'unsuccessful RFAs', I suggest you check that you've followed the correct procedure. (I know nothing about it, having no desire for the addtional responsibility here!)

However, I think you may find it a rocky road. Have a look at some of the failed RFAs and see how you measure up against them. You may decide to wait until you have more experience (both length of time and different areas of work). If you do decide to continue, good luck, and if you don't succeed first time, don't be disheartened.

I see you've answered the questions, but they're not very extensive. If you want to look at an example of answers to the questions, you can look at my RfA ( Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Leebo). Notice how I go into detail on various administrative tasks I feel comfortable performing, articles I've written, and conflicts I've had. I really am not sure what you mean by "win". It's impossible for anyone to win anything in an RfA, because it's not a competition. Can you explain what you mean? Also, you are saying you "failed on your RfA" and the reasons don't make sense. I've tried to explain to you what needs to be done, but if you're having trouble understanding the instructions, that's probably a good indication that you need more time getting used to Wikipedia. I have PRODed the article for you ('PROposed Deletion'). Have a look at the links on the talk page and you will see why I was trying to tell you it was futile trying to create/keep such a page at WP.

As you will see from the redlink above, the page has now been speedy-deleted. As in many areas of life, knowing 'the right pages', 'the right people', or 'the right procedures' at WP helps to resolve issues more quickly.

Although some of the rules are quite strict (copyright, for example, and 'no false information' (fan fiction)), if you edit within the rules and policies you should find that your contributions are welcomed, and your editing time enjoyable. Look on it as a learning experience. Every time you encounter a problem (such as the reasons why the video page could not stay here) or a technique (PRODding, requesting speedy delete) then you are building on your experience and getting closer to your goal of adminship. Do take care to follow instructions carefully though, or you will find that things won't happen (such as your RfA and your speedy request).

I nominated Winnie the Pooh (1953 film) for deletion tonight. A few minutes after doing so I checked the article's talk page and noticed you had already considered offering this up for the "speedy deletion" process. I'm sure nobody will vote to keep the article, so this will undoubtedly disappear pretty quickly. Someone may have already answered this for you, but in response to Template talk:Talkarchive#Question and elsewhere: If you cut and paste the contents from a page, the history is retained. The only way to alter the history of a page is to delete it, which you can only do if you are an administrator, or to move it to another title, in which case it can be moved back. — Centrx→ talk • 03:40, 10 March 2008 (UTC) reply
