Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Tdotht album soot.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Tdotht album soot.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot ( talk) 06:20, 24 January 2008 (UTC) reply

Belated welcome

Toren, sorry no one has welcomed you before - how rude!!

Anyway, I thought it worth pointing out the conflict of interest and autobiographical guidelines as some of them can be pretty strict and you could stumble across them. The one with zero wiggle room is adding links to sites you own or control, one I have fallen afoul of myself.

I also see you had an image deleted a few years back - I think the image uploading procedure if better now and if you make sure you fill in the necessary fields in the fair use form it should generate enough information to get the images kept.

If you have any other questions you can ask on the relevant pages, the specific projects that cover the area or someone who looks like they are actively involved with a specific page or area. ( Emperor ( talk) 13:19, 28 July 2010 (UTC)) reply
