Tips- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

- I'd love help with both. Learning more about Wikipedia in general will help me improve the Andrea Bocelli article, and it can help me in the future, too! (School has been taking my time lately, so I haven't edited much currently... I would love to get back to it sometime, though!)
> Cellina Starfire: talk?17:33, 28 February 2024 (UTC)- As you are already into typo correction and copyediting, going through the articles from Category:Wikipedia pages needing cleanup can help you get into other aspects of article writing. The target is to fix the problem in the article for which it is tagged, and then remove the tag, so it doesn't show up as problematic any more. The same editor may not be able to fix all problems, but may do what they are comfortable with. For reference, WP:CLEANUPTAG has a list that articles are tagged with. Jay 💬 08:16, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

To get some practice editing you can
use a sandbox. You can
create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{
My sandbox}} on
your userpage.
Please remember to:
- Always
sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the
button on the
edit toolbar or by typing four
tildes ~~~~at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive
edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

- @ Mseingth2133444 I would still like to be adopted, yes! I've been random article patrolling lately, just trying to get used to editing and to learn by doing. I hope to reach the point where I can improve articles to featured level, and having an experienced editor to help me learn how to do that would be ideal.
- (Fun thing: you have "444" in your username, which is my lucky number. If that's not a good sign, I don't know what is, lol.)

- Thank you, Gerda! I am new to Wikipedia, yes, but article improvement is a goal of mine anyway, so I figured I'd join the group so I can learn more. Andrea Bocelli's article will be featured one of these days if I have anything to do with it...!
