Hi, would you mind stopping disambiguating Equalization for the moment? The page is in a state of flux and the situation is likely to change, see the discussion on the talk page. Disambiguating now may well make it harder to fix. Spinning Spark 14:49, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
When adding templates, please do not add the word template. Just do {{ Tourism in Kerala}} and not {{Template:Tourism in Kerala}}. These templates go before categories. They also do not need collapsed=no. If two or more templates are found, default is to collapse them all. If only one is found, it should be uncollapsed. Bgwhite ( talk) 04:24, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
That was not good advice about the collapsed option Bgwhite. {{ Tourism in Kerala}} defaulted to expanded, so far from cleaning up a mess, a mess has now been created. I have changed the default to collapse, since this is a larger, and frankly contentious template that should not be displayed in its full glory unless there is good reason to do so. -- Epipelagic ( talk) 12:40, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi, I notice that you are the top contributor of our Padma Shri list articles. You also seem to be involved in creating and/or expanding articles on many of the recipients. I wonder if you ever thought of creating a dedicated Padma Shri template which will make the maintenance trouble lot easier, say in case of unintended circumstances like changing of the URL of the government website (and the like). I would like to comment on your two edits - one that you made on List of University of Edinburgh people [1] and another one on List of Nobel laureates affiliated with the University of Edinburgh [2]. Graduate diploma page on Wikipedia is about a postgraduate qualification. On List of University of Edinburgh people and List of Nobel laureates affiliated with the University of Edinburgh pages, graduates are those who obtained their bachelor's, master's and other qualifications from the University of Edinburgh and not just those who obtained their graduate diploma. Can you please refrain from adding articles to the Category:Christianity in Kerala parent category as many of the churches you have added are in the Category:Churches in Kerala category within the Christianity in Kerala parent category, and the Christians within their respective church categories. There is no need to add these articles to the parent category also. Mugsalot ( talk) 14:44, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

Tachs, watching you taking on the effort to create articles on Padma Shri recipients is very inspiring. Thank you for that! But the articles you create have few links pointing to them, see WP:WHATLINKSHERE (except the list from where they are linked).
Creating more internal links helps to increase visibility in search engine rankings (particularly relevant for Indic articles where Romanization is a perennial problem). Also helps to track if some articles get speedy deleted, without appropriate notification to the creator, in this case you.
Kindest regards. Solomon 7968 05:45, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

I am Madhav Gadgil, an ecologist at madhav.gadgil@gmail.com. I was delighted to see that you have recently updated an article about me in the Wikipedia. I have watched the Wikipedia movement with great interest and admiration since its very beginning, but never participated in it. However, recent health problems mean that I now have to curtail my field ecological work. I have consequently come to the conclusion that I should now direct my energies to contributing to Wikipedia. You are obviously a very seasoned Wikipedian and I hope to keep consulting you as I now take up this enterprise. I realize that proper referencing is very important for Wikipedia. On top of the biographical article about me I see a notice that it is poorly referenced. I also see a note asking for specific reference for a paper of mine that became a Citation Classic. Since you have recently edited this article, I thought I would like to provide you a set of appropriate references, including the one to the Citation Classic. I would greatly appreciate remaining in touch with you. I am assuming you are watchlisting all the articles you are creating (otherwise it can be very difficult to track vandalism on them, as few others are tracking those articles). Have you ever noticed any family member of a subject (judging from same/similar surnames and the like) editing their kin's WP bio?
Some time ago I started the article Jagdish Mehra and today noticed a new editor Neil Mehra editing it.
I wonder how many of them would be interested in sharing their kin's photos from family albums to help illustrate our articles. Solomon 7968 07:05, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
Looking around I found out Wikipedia:Donated artwork project of Anna Frodesiak. While that project is somewhat different in scope its various subpages may be useful to my above proposal. Basically I am thinking of a page to gather list of editors/groups/organizations who may be able to supply photos for our Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/Padma project. Let's wait for AF's response to the ping, if they have got something to add here. Solomon 7968 06:45, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
OK so for now let's start a page with the three usernames you mentioned. As like AF I am also reluctant to put too much effort here but I hope, with luck, before we (you) are done with at least a basic stub of all the Padma awardees, we can get a few people interested in this. It looks like you are manually typing the {{ cite book}} templates. There is a Wikipedia citation tool for Google Books which automatically extracts the metadata (author, publisher, isbn etc.).
On a side note I considered adding Ahalya Chari to Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/Padma/P. I wonder if you have thought of a special template to welcome some such user. It would be very handy. Solomon 7968 12:51, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

By the way Sir, I have a Request for you. Sir can u please improve Portal:Military of India and Template:Military of India? Actuly if u compare these with something like US military portal and US military template respectively, u realize that the Indian ones r too childish. Also they r inaccurate coz Indian Coast Guard is not a part of Indian military in reality (see [3]), but it has been listed so on the portal. Further, unlike their US counterparts (see Portal:United States Army), Indian Army, Navy & Air Force dont even have their own wikipedia Portals, and their Templates exist but r overly simple (for example, compare Template:Indian Army with Template:United States Army). If u are able to create/improve these, u can put these templates and portals on the Wikipedia articles of Indian Army, Indian Armed Forces, etc, just like it is there on the wiki articles of US Army, US Armed Forces etc.
Sir, the time u wud b spend on the above wud b a service to India. Becoz a nation's military strength is valued by its enemies only when that nation can show-off its military strength. And what better way to do this, than Wikipedia, the largest online encyclopedia. Actually I wud have done these edits myself, but Im not an expert of either Wikipedia or of military, and I have no idea about how to edit portals. Thanks again. 101.57.11.131 ( talk) 20:57, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi Tachs, you might want to keep an eye on developments in this thread at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard. You have been using Prabook as a source in a lot of articles and I really do not think it is remotely reliable. There will be a lot of citation requests in those articles should I gain consensus for my opinion. I'm so certain that I will get that consensus that I've already removed it from some articles.
Also, you seem often to cite a source for one sentence and then cite it again for the next sentence - there is no need for that. - Sitush ( talk) 10:38, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

Do you know of some nice fancy template trick that would result the three tables in Indian Statistical Institute displayed in one row? Also I wonder if you would be able to retrieve the full names of the redlinks there. I suspect some of the redlinks might be part of your padma project. Solomon 7968 20:01, 26 August 2016 (UTC)
@ Solomon7968:, I could only get two; Sir Edward Charles Benthall (E. C. Benthall) and Benegal Rama Rau (B. Rama Rao, this I am not sure). On CSO, I will check.-- jojo@nthony ( talk) 11:23, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
