Current Events Booker Huffman and Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman (known as Booker T and Sharmell, respectively) debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling on November 11 2007 at the Genesis pay-per-view, nearly three weeks after being released from World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE released the video game WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 on November 13 2007. The game is available for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Wii consoles. John Cena takes heat from CNN after an interview involving mentions of steroids. Christopher Irvine (known as Chris Jericho) returned to WWE after a two year hiatus, debuting on the November 19 2007 edition of RAW following months of speculation. Matt Hardy suffered from an inflamed appendix, rendering him unable to wrestle at Survivor Series and possibly for 8-10 weeks. Collaboration of the Week The monthly featured article collaboration for November 25 - December 1 is Triple H. quite new to Wikipedia here so still a bit shaky with the edit process and what not - but check the Dick Beyer (aka The Destroyer) page here which lists 70 million TV viewers for his match with Rikidozan in 1963. it's on any number of messageboards and whatnot as well, unfortunately there aren't too many pages around that cater to actual wrestling historians...but do your research, google around, and you'll see. It's actually disputed among historians as to whether the Thesz/Rikidozan match or the Destroyer/Rikidozan match is the most watched - Thesz match had a higher audience percentage rating (89.0 rating!) but the Destroyer match a few years later took place when there were more television sets. one link claiming the Destroyer match is the most watched of all time is [1] Either way they both outdo The Main Event Hogan/Andre by a significant margin. I see that LunaSlave has already gotten to you, but I wanted to respond as well. I won't change the WrestleMania III page, because I've seen how the people there dislike Meltzer, but here is a quote & source for the most watched wrestling match:

From Dave Meltzer's Tributes II, p. 228, talking about 10/7/57's Lou Thesz v. Rikidozan match:

"More importantly, everyone in the country watched the match on television. The company that was handling ratings at the time measured it as an 87.5 rating, making it, by far, the highest-rated television show ever in Japan, and blowing away any television show in history ever in the United States."

It went 2 days without that section and no one re-added it back. Seeing as you are the only one re-adding it, people don't care. Stop thinking you own the article, and leave it be. RJ, fixing spelling mistakes is not a big deal; archives aren't strictly off-limits. Also, TJ's right about a consensus on the WM 23 article. That was a comparatively large dispute at the time, so it cannot simply be overruled by you. if you want a new discussion, then that's fine, but reverting and declaring it useless simply can't cut it. Uh, because za is the Japanese transliteration for "the" into their language. If the title was actually "Mario & Sonic at the Beijing Olympics", then the original title would be マリオ&ソニック AT ザ北京オリンピック. However, the actual title doesn't have ザ, so a straight translation shouldn't have the "the". ' 04:14, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

I have NO idea how to make a citation, even with reading that. Can you do it for me? It's a special calendar insert that comes in the special WWE Magazine entitiled "The Greatest Moments in Pay-Per-View history". I just can't make heads or tails of the WP: CITE thing you gave me. I wouldn't bother trying to talk him out of his "policy nazi" mode. Rob's a stubborn guy, and even if these games do come out on Monday, there's no real way of proving that our source didn't just get lucky at guessing. Again. Hmmm... the link must not be working well now... try doing a "Wayback Machine" search on www.wrestlemania.com and click on any of the dates after March 18, 2002. Then look through the Resuslts and see that they call him Hollywood Hulk Hogan, not just Hulk Hogan. Here's the link for the search: [3]

Calling me stubborn, as well as your false claims here: User_talk:Neo_Samus#VC_11.2F19 aren't needed. You need to work on articles, instead of attacking me and just assuming bad faith. You say I'm harassing you, but you are the one that is more to blame here. You need to just leave me the hell alone, and stop talking about me on talk pages just to make me look bad. You really should avoid calling users edits vandalism when it isn't. I don't have a play-by-play source that mentions the Russian legsweep, but unless you're looking at an official statement/recap from TNA, a play-by-play that neglects to mention the Russian legsweep doesn't change what you can actually see with your own eyes. I'm assuming your source is a play-by-play that was written while the match took place, so it's perfectly possible that the writer just wasn't paying attention or didn't notice. Unless I am incorrect about the nature of your source, I recommend you watch the match yourself to see how you interpret the match and the finish. - WikiFew ( talk) 02:09, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Meltzer makes mistakes too and could have easily missed out on what exactly happened in the finish; you can't deny that possibility. I still recommend that you watch the match for yourself and see how you interpret the finish. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Reading from your comments, I believe that you don't realize that Impact is taped and RAW is aired live. If something happens at the last minute on Raw, they have to keep on going with the program. If something happens at the last minute on Impact, they can edit it so the viewers at home don't see their mistakes. Why you think I watch Raw and not Impact? I have to watch Raw to know what's going on, but I can just look up the spoilers for Impact. I respect the rule about not putting stuff on here until it airs live, but I am right about the situation.

I'm strongly considering putting it back in MFD. I've seen no proof you actually want to make it into an article. As I've stated before: Wikipedia isn't a webhosting service. A few minor attempts at making it an article simply aren't enough. It either needs to be an article, or should be deleted. Putting a timeframe on things isn't completely correct here, however the page just sits with nothing done to it. RobJ1981 ( talk) 07:05, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Asking someone to put your original research on their site is one thing. But this is Wikipedia, it's purpose isn't to use a subpage for other internet work that is done. WIA is a glorified fansite in my view, and it's a bit shady they just accept any random person's work. Just like Obsessed with Wrestling (or whatever it's called now): accepting just about any random work shows the site shouldn't be used as a reliable source. I don't see why the record is such a big deal. Wikipedia isn't your personal sandbox for non-article content. Simply save it in a word document or whatever, and leave it at that. Project News A professional wrestling portal has been established, and WikiProject Professional wrestling is expected to maintain it. Please help in its construction and keeping it up to date in the long run. Mickie James has been elevated to Good article status. Don Kent (wrestler) failed its Good article nomination. AJPW Triple Crown Championship and Royal Rumble are currently Featured list candidates. Their respective nomination pages can be found here and here. Briscoe Brothers, King of the Ring (1994) and WrestleMania III are currently Good article candidates. No Way Out (2004), SummerSlam (2007), and In Your House 1 have each been listed for peer review. Current Events On the December 17 edition of Raw, it was announced that former WWE superstar John "Bradshaw" Layfield has decided to return to the ring on the Raw brand. It is unknown if he will continue to color commentate on SmackDown!. Former WWE and TNA wrestler Andrew "Test" Martin has announced his plans to retire from professional wrestling. Note : I've moved it to Breakdown: In Your House as this was the official name for the PPV and goes in line with the other PPV articles under the In Your House banner ( In Your House 1). I did this so that it stays standardised, it would be better like this in my view than having the articles under different names. Just thought i'd let you know in case you were wondering. Please stop adding {{ unreferenced}} to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Common outcomes. It is not an article that requires reliable sources for its prose, calling attention to which is the purpose of that tag. It is a project page that discusses Wikipedia policies and practices. Whatever problems you may have with the content and how it is used (or misused) should be discussed and resolved on the discussion page.
