Reply re:IP editor

You asked for my help in dealing with an IP editor you said was vandalizing an article. Some of the edits by the IP were beneficial, such as correcting the date of the election: [1]. Some were not helpful, such as replacing apparently final results with results that were different, which might have been reported early in the counting process. Others were dubious, such as unreferenced statement that the candidate promoted ending hunger, stated without a reference. You could have just tagged that statement as needing a reference, since it seems plausible. Some of this falls under "content dispute" rather than vandalism. You reverted the unhelpful edits and left warnings, not including a final warning. The IP editor has not edited in some time. There does not appear to be any need for blocking or other action at this time. Thanks for your efforts to improve the encyclopedia. Edison ( talk) 23:27, 16 November 2012 (UTC) reply
