License tagging for File:Untouched cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Untouched cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. -- ImageTaggingBot ( talk) 18:06, 22 January 2009 (UTC) reply

Hi Smanu. I have reviewed your speedy and declined it. You have listed no proper basis and the article does not meet A7. It is not a proper speedy even if it is a hoax. Your options are to prod it or take it to AfD. Reposting speedy deletion tags that have been declined by administrators or other uninvolved, experienced users on direct grounds, is not a proper activity.-- Fuhghettaboutit ( talk) 16:39, 24 January 2009 (UTC) reply

You have it backwards. If it's false, a hoax, or even if its real but non-notable, or because it fails WP:CRYSTAL or on other grounds, prod it or take it to Afd. This is not about whether it should or should not be deleted on its merits but whether it is a valid speedy candidate right now, which it is not. If the prod is removed then at AfD if there is information provided in the deletion debate to verfy it is a hoax, it may even be speedied as vandalism under G3 at that time. But not until you have shown that it is invalid on the merits.-- Fuhghettaboutit ( talk) 15:05, 25 January 2009 (UTC) reply
In fact, I'll prod it for you. If removed, and you later ask me, I'll help you take it to AfD if you need assistance.-- Fuhghettaboutit ( talk) 15:08, 25 January 2009 (UTC) reply

Image copyright problem with File:Circus cover.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Circus cover.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{ PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{ self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI ( talk) 13:26, 20 February 2009 (UTC) reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Complicated (2).jpg)

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Complicated (2).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude ( talk) 05:34, 7 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Australian sk8erboi promo.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Australian sk8erboi promo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle ( talk) 13:21, 4 May 2009 (UTC) reply

avril template

hi,

first, thanks for contributing to some of avril's articles. I reverted your edit last time because "Things I'll Never Say" doesn't have a link/redirect to any other article, thus its rather useless there. the tours are, except her Promotional Tour in 2007, linked/redirected to other articles where you can read something about the topic. so my suggestion would be to redirect "Things I'll Never Say" to an album or some other article that tells the reader something about it.

while you are at it, what about linking the promotional tour to the best damn thing's promo-part?

thanks again, Darth NormaN ( talk) 21:29, 4 May 2009 (UTC) reply

Edit summaries

Hi, I noticed you had some issues with your edits being reverted over at Poker Face (Lady Gaga song). You provided a link to your Contributions page, which I clicked and happened to notice you almost never provide an edit summary. This becomes problematic when you want your edits to be taken seriously, other editors sometimes just need an explanation about why you are doing something, a short summary of your edits, an edit summary, if you like. This page may help in explaining it better than I can, this may just be the issue that is detracting from some credibility with your edits. I hope you take this into consideration with your future edits. Cheers. k.i.a.c ( talktome - contribs) 10:11, 20 May 2009 (UTC) reply

Radar

Hi there, Smanu. Now to get straight to the point, I'm not exactly sure what you mean with your last edit summary on the Radar article. You say consensus hasn't been reached, but how is consensus supposed to be reached when there's no dispute over a second "Promotional single" info box in the first place? At this point you seem to be the only editor who has a problem with it. Therefore it's up to you to explain on the talk page as to why you disagree with this edit, and why you want it removed, instead of removing it without reason. If an editor has an issue with a particular section of an article, it's up to that editor (typically before removing content) to state WHY he/she has a problem with it. In this case, your edit summary doens't explain why you disagree with the edit. You can't simply remove content from an article when there's no debate on it at all, stating "consensus hasn't been reached", and then not discuss the matter afterward.

Now I'm not about to get into an edit war here, so I'm not going to revert your edit as of yet. I'll give you time to explain on the Radar talk page why you feel a second info box isn't necessary here. I've already started a discussion on it, so you can add your thoughts there. Yea! Paparzzi is def. a vid. of 09. Have you heard Retro, Dance, Freak -one of my faves. it's kinda like Disco Heaven (which is also great). She came here, but with PCD so I didn't go, has she come to italy? Hey Boys and Girls (Welcome to the Show…) ° 06:31, 9 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Oh..that's a hard question, but I would say Vanity (but that appears on UK itunes rhapsody)... fashion or Fooled Me Again, Honest Eyes. Hey Boys and Girls (Welcome to the Show…) ° 04:54, 10 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Chillin

The article has been redirected to the Wale (rapper) page for failing notability and third party overage. Sources like MTV and interscope, though confirm release as a single, however that is not enough to merit a separate article. Hence the redirection. however the Chillin single has been kept in the Gaga discography table. I'll wait and see for a few days if third party coverage comes for the single. Else it will be removed. Have a nice day. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:47, 10 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Im not removing it at present. Just want to see if it gets notable third party coverage. A confirmed release doesnot warrant notability to have an article or a row in the singles. Hence I'll just wait to see if we get any third party coverage, otherwise Im sorry it has to be removed. Cheers! --Legolas (talk2me) 11:01, 10 June 2009 (UTC) reply
You can see the Rihanna discography FLC discussion. A single called "Let Me" was introduced which failed notability. However in the FL it had to be removed. But don't worry, I'm not removing now. Even I want to keep it and Im keeping my fingers crossed that some notability will come. The song has minimum airplay in US now (Only 5.2 million audience impressions) but I hope it will be another success for Gaga. Don't you think? --Legolas (talk2me) 11:17, 10 June 2009 (UTC) reply
I knowww. Its good man! But I have a feeling they wil release LoveGame, then Paparazzi, then Eh, Eh there. --Legolas (talk2me) 11:32, 10 June 2009 (UTC) reply
How r u? "Paparazzi" is smashing charts!! --Legolas (talk2me) 09:36, 23 June 2009 (UTC) reply

(Outdent)Before any official release the song banged up to the top 3. This week it appeared in New Zealand also at 23. It sure can be another number 1 if it can topple " Boom Boom Pow" (so sick of that song). But which song will release in Italy? "Eh, Eh" or "LoveGame"? --Legolas (talk2me) 10:06, 23 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Ohh is it? Well I believe that LoveGame will be released there after PF goes down a little more. "Eh, Eh" performed moderate in the two countries that it was released (Sweden and Denmark) but LoveGame became a top 5 hit again in Belgium, US, Canada, Aus etc. Hence I believe LoveGame for you guys. Though I suppose Spain and Italy are getting Gaga songs quite late, don't know why. PS Im going to the Sticky & Sweet Tour next week. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:32, 23 June 2009 (UTC) reply
YAa. I missed the first leg of the Sticky & Sweet Tour since I spent that money going to The Fame Ball Tour, but wasnt gonna miss it this time. Do you like the song " Hung Up"? Im developing it for GA here. Feel free to contribute if you like. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:45, 23 June 2009 (UTC) reply

avril lavigne discography.....again

heya, i really dont want to get into an edit war with anybody so i thought i'd just let you know what i am doing. and i know the page looked messy, its a work in progress lol. i came across the article earlier today whilst randomly browsing and i noticed quite a few problems with it. 1) there was tons of info in it that was completely unsourced ie sales and certifications, which i have removed and am looking to find proper sources so that they can be reinstated. 2) i also wanted to separate the singles table because i ive been looking at other FA discographies and it seems to work best separated into sections. 3) i also wanted to remove Austria, Italy and Switzerland from the singles table and replace them with Ireland. as the guidelines suggest that only 10 countries should be included and Austria and Switzerland are very minor markets and the Italian charts arent very reliable. 4) i'm also working on finding sources for the other appearances table because none of it is at the moment, hence has grounds for removal. anyways, rambling now. let me know what you think. i am trying to help. i dont want to annoy anybody :) Mister sparky ( talk) 16:46, 2 July 2009 (UTC) reply

Please see this discussion on the Avril Lavigne discography page regarding the recent addition to the soundtrack single "Alice". An edit war is brewing and discussions within edit summaries should be placed within the article discussion instead. Please do not revert this addition and instead discuss it on the article's Talk page until a consensus is made regarding its inclusion. Thanks. =D ~ [ Scott M.
