- Just so there is a little context to the boilerplate notice above, we have an existing
manual of style (MOS) that should be adhered to. One of those items is that we use "logical quotations" for punctuation with quotes. See
MOS:QUOTECOMMA. I noticed your edit on
Petticoat Junction, but the same thing was done elsewhere. We value your contributions and, more so,
encourage them. But they should conform to the existing MOS, or they'll generally be reverted. I know the MOS is fairly large and no one expects you to know it all - especially right away as a newcomer. So don't let this discourage you! You'll learn as you go along, and that's fine. Also, don't let it discourage you from
WP:BOLD edits. I'm only letting you know about this so you can learn some of the MOS from it - not to discourage you. If you have any questions, just ask.

- Hi! Thanks for letting me know about this - I was so confused about what the correct way was. I've seen some articles which interchange between the two styles and I thought this was inconsistencies between editors who are writing in British English vs American English and also the language of the article. Thanks for taking the time to explain logical quotations to me and sending me the links - I've had a little read and will apply the style moving forwards.
